    Hero Bikes

Hero bike price starts from Rs. 58,270. Hero offers 24 new models in India with most popular bikes being Xtreme 125R, Splendor Plus and HF Deluxe. The upcoming bikes of Hero include Karizma XMR 250, Scrambler 440 and Karizma 400. Most expensive Hero bike is Mavrick 440, which is priced at Rs. 2,13,197.

Hero MotoCorp is the world’s largest two-wheeler and India’s highest-selling motorcycle company. With over 40 per cent market share in India, Hero MotoCorp continues to innovate and develop new motorcycles and scooters for India and the export markets. It was founded by Brijmohan Lall Munjal in collaboration with Honda. For two decades, this collaboration created a massive company specialising in low-cost 100-1100cc motorcycles. However, this alliance (Hero Honda) ended in 2010 and both became a big competitor.

Currently, Hero MotoCorp has a total of five factories with a sixth one constructed in Andhra Pradesh. It has one of the biggest R&D centres in the world at Kukas in Rajasthan. This is where all the development of bikes and scooters is done. There are a series of test tracks that simulate real-world situations.

Hero MotoCorp used to be called a company that makes only small-capacity motorcycles. But over the last few years, the company has designed and developed performance-based motorcycles that were also highly aspirational. Its most powerful motorcycle – the Mavrick is one the best bikes ever made. The Karizma also got reinvented and is now powered by a new liquid-cooled engine. The company has plans to launch an even much bigger bike. But just like for decades, the Splendor and the Passion Pro range bring in the maximum revenue for the company. Even in the scooter segment, Hero MotoCorp has made a strong presence. In fact, the Vida e-scooter is also doing business in plenty of regions in India.

Over the next few years, Hero MotoCorp will continue to focus on its bread and butter models, along with the growing 200-400cc segment. It has forged an alliance with many international brands like Harley-Davidson, and Zero Motorcycles and also has a major stake in Ather Energy – a leading EV company.

    • Hero Xtreme 125R
Best Budget bike for daily commuter
      Sonu Kumar Nirala
The Hero Xtreme 125R Dual Disc (often referring to the variant with dual-channel ABS or dual disc setup in higher trims) has been a refreshing ride in the 125cc segment. From the moment I took delivery, its aggressive, sporty styling grabbed attention—sharp lines, LED headlamp, muscular tank, and that bold stance make it look premium, almost like a downsized naked bike. It stands out on Indian roads, especially in black or matte finishes, turning heads during commutes. The 124.7cc air-cooled engine delivers smooth power with strong low-end torque, making city riding effortless. Quick overtakes in traffic are easy, even from low speeds in higher gears. It pulls cleanly without much vibration up to 70-80 kmph, and highway cruising feels stable with decent punch for occasional bursts. The 5-speed gearbox shifts smoothly, though it's not the most refined in the class. Real-world mileage has been impressive—around 58-63 kmpl in mixed conditions (city + some highways), stretching the 10-litre tank to 550-600+ km easily. It's economical for daily use. Braking is a highlight on the dual-disc version (especially with dual-channel ABS). The 276mm front disc bites hard and progressively, inspiring confidence in panic stops or wet roads. Combined with the rear disc, it offers balanced, reliable stopping power—far better than many competitors in this price range. Ride quality suits Indian conditions well. The suspension handles potholes and broken roads competently, soaking up bumps without feeling harsh. It's comfortable for solo rides, with a neutral upright posture and decent seat padding for 100-150 km stretches. Pillion comfort is average but manageable for short trips. The bike feels light and flickable in traffic, building rider confidence quickly—ideal for beginners or first-time owners. After months of ownership, minor niggles include average build quality (some panel gaps) and service experiences varying by dealership. Overall, it's fun, practical, reliable, and value-packed. If you're seeking a stylish, feature-rich 125cc commuter with good brakes and efficiency, the Xtreme 125R Dual Disc won't disappoint—it's a solid daily companion that punches above its weight. Must Buy

      Amazing experience with hero

Splendor Plus sits in the affordable commuter bike category, with on-road prices typically between ~₹70,000–₹90,000 in India (varies slightly by city and variant) The bike is often recommended for students, office-goers and first-time riders because of its value-for-money proposition. And I am also a student, so it’s a great choice for me. In my case, dealers try to upsell accessories and extended warranties — always negotiate or say no if you don’t need them. It felt quite different to me

It gives very high average in very less petrol. It is a very good bike as per a writer. Even a normal person can ride it very well. I liked it very much. I have travelled a lot with it. I have used it everywhere in Rajasthan and its service is provided at a very economical price. Very nice. You should definitely buy this bike, in my opinion.

I think it would be even better if its pillion seat height were a little lower and comfort. The company should work on this. Moreover, you feel very confident to ride in the mountains because of its heavy, powerful engine. I don't have any issues with this bike but the pillion seat becomes very hard for you.
