The Apache RTR 160 now comes equipped with a single-channel ABS unit and at Rs 84,710 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru) it is priced around Rs 6,000 higher than the standard version.

While Ricky Brabec from Honda finished third, the top spot was clinched by yet another Honda rider Joan Barreda. Pablo Quintanilla from Husqvarna finished second. 

The victory hasn’t been just once but for seven consecutive years which is a big feat for the 30 year old racer.

TVS has been in partnership with Indian Motos for the last six years. The latter handles distribution and marketing for TVS in Peru and the brands together have been growing in the country, especially in the three-wheeler segment. 

TVS Racing team showcased its dominance at this year’s INRC (Indian National Rally Championship) as its riders bagged top positions in four categories in the final round of the event. 

The team consists of brothers Michael Metge and Adrian Metge from France, Lorenzo Santalino from Spain and an Indian rider who is yet to be finalised. 

The Apache brand has collectively sold 3 million units since the first Apache, in 2005. 

The Chennai-based manufacturer sold 2, 75,688 units in India last month registering a 2 per cent growth.
