The riding posture is very comfy and the looks are good the braking is spot on. The acceleration is very good and pickup is also good it has pretty informative speedometer and has a gearshift indicator it is light nimble easy to handle and good for beginners. The mileage is pretty good and the headlights could be better as they aren't too bright. The suspension is very loose but its a good bike for the price range.

  • Suzuki gixxer honest user review

    Alved Benny

The suzuki gixxer was the first major break for the japanese manufacturer in the indian market at the 150cc segment. The first model was released around the same time when the leader among indian 150cc motorcycles, yamaha fz got an upgrade and a fresh model finally made it to the market. Despite that, the gixxer became every major bike reviewers top pick in the segment. With the naked sports look, elevated gas tank, aggressive styled exhaust and a powerful 155cc engine that delivered around 14 psi at 8000rpm,it proved to be the best performing bike in its class, both in the looks and the performance department. In my personal experience, the gixxer was game changing for the budget segment of Indian market. I got my hands on a bike that gave actual performance and was affordable at the same time. It was actually fun to drive this sleek machine around despite being a lower cc bike. However, it is strictly age group oriented in my opinion. The seating position is a bit sporty and since it was only meant for city rides, back support isn't a luxury you can enjoy, as it is among most motorcycles if this type. Pillion riding is better than most of its counterparts, but not very comfortable at the least. However, the handling and suspension somewhat makes up for this. City traffic and roads are not much of a problem and driving is fairly easy even in heavy traffic conditions. Once you pull out to better roads however, the gixxer can finally show you why it was considered the best in the 150cc segment. With a top speed of 114kmph, for me personally, it took approximately 10-15 sec to reach 100 on an average. From experience, once it touches 103-105, the engine hits a plateau and you'll only reach 114 if you're at it for some considerable time. However, coupled with the great acceleration and stability, i always have fun pushing the bike to its limits. Additionally, my average mileage was around 40-45 kmpl. On the maintenance side, i personally did not have much of an issue. Apart from the recommended timed servicing and general maintenance, i did not face any problems. In conclusion i'd definitely recommend the bike to anyone looking for a fun bike with a budget and list the following pros and cons:Pros:Great performance Fairly good handling. Sleek looks, Low maintenance Cons:Seating comfort Mileage, Plastic parts.

    S Prashanth

Very poor design bike.. Never ever buy this..Seating posture will make very uncomfortable.. You cant ride more than 5 kms... For trails it is ok not for daily use.And if you use this bike daily your leg will damage because of hard gears. Also after driven of 10000 kms bike will start vibrating even at 40km/h.Only one advantage i saw is mileage.. I am getting around 52kmpl. Not recommended for anyone.. Even i am thinking to sell this immediately

  • Don't judge it by numbers on paper ride it and feel it.

    Ravi Teja

I purchased suzuki gixxer because i needed a bike which gives the good feel of a bigger motorcycle.Even though its a 155cc,the amount of fun you get during the rides is quite amazing, actually fantastic.I purchased it in dolphin suzuki, asalpha road. Onroad price was 1.19 lakhs. Its worth every penny.Whenever someone talks about numbers of the bike,i ask "we don't ride the bike on paper,do we?"because i feel numbers are just numbers on paper. Its a beautiful machine, trust me.I purchased it as i needed it for my daily commuting,i ride nearly 40 km everyday to my college and back home.I love riding and i try to get the better of every machine,in my observation roughly,44 km/h in 1st gear, 66 km/h in 2nd gear, 88 km/h in 3rd gear, 109 km/h in 4th gear, 121 km/h in 5th gear. I've done quite a good touring in this bike, its been pretty amazing,on longer roads,a little amount of extra power would have made gixxer a pretty pretty strong competitor, even though its not a deal breaker. For commuting, its the best in the segment, because i use mostly for commuting, and it has been so fun to ride.I take it daily to college, its looks are just fascinating. Its design feels so real.Fuel economy is pretty awesome. When you ride the bike at 40-60 kmhr,it returns more than 50kmpl,which is again pretty good for a 155cc bike.Service and maintenance is pretty affordable, and there is a good service team, who inquired me for any further assistance from them. They send you message informing your due date for service. They even take time in calling you.Pros:1)engine 2) seating posture 3)power delivery at right time 4)fuel economy 5)service(if you are in major city)6)digital console with gear position indicator 7)rear radial tyre. cons :1)built quality could have been better.2)pillion seat 3)headlight is not effective 3)single channel abs(cant be switched off)the 2019 suzuki gixxer is a well-built package, with sporty streetfighter looks. The other positive thing about this 155cc naked bike is that single-channel abs and fuel injecton. For me,its the king of 150 segment without a doubt. Its easy to maintain, just take it to service center regularly that should do the job.Keep an eye on your chain, use gixxer chain sprays, easily available at showroom.
