Maintenance of the bike is lower than other segment bikes.
Road presence is very good. Accelerator response is very good.
Mileage is approx. 65 to 75, depending on the rider and how smoothly you handle the bike.
After-sales service centre is good,
No need for modification.

Nice commuter bike. The engine is buttery smooth and the pickup is appreciated. The ground clearance is an added advantage of the Unicorn 160. No back pain due to nice suspension and a broad seat. It gives 72kmpl on highways and long stretches. No heating of the engine was observed; drove around 250 km in one stretch. Loved it's performance very much.

I have been using the Honda Unicorn for 6–12 months, and my ownership experience has been disappointing due to several issues. The main problem is engine oil leakage, which is a serious concern for a relatively new motorcycle. Along with this, I have experienced engine noise and vibration, gear shifting problems, lower-than-expected mileage, and starting and battery-related issues. I have also faced concerns regarding rusting, paint quality, and electrical or sensor-related problems. I expected better quality, reliability, and durability from Honda. These recurring issues have affected my confidence in the bike. I hope Honda takes customer complaints seriously, improves quality control, and provides proper solutions through its service centres.

It is not good for very steep inclines. lacking power on steep slopes. But my 125cc Ntorq climbs steep inclines effortlessly. This bike also has gear-shifting issues, some time gear will struck. Because of that, rider feel very difficult to ride. Lots of good bikes are available in the market. I messed up, so make sure you don't do the same.

The Honda BS6 is, in my opinion, one of the worst models Honda has produced so far. The bike started developing repair issues within just 6 months.
The suspension quality is extremely poor. If you try to replace the suspension, Honda does not provide any proper warranty or guarantee on the new suspension parts.
I specifically bought the BS6 model because I suffer from back pain and expected better suspension and a more comfortable ride. Unfortunately, the suspension is so bad that it has actually made my back pain worse.
The bike also seems to have an allergy to water! During the monsoon, it keeps breaking down and stopping frequently.

**Very Disappointing Honda Experience**
I am extremely disappointed with my experience with the **Honda Unicorn 160**. The vehicle has covered only **33,151 km**, yet I am facing a recurring and significant engine noise issue.
I have always serviced my bike only at **authorized Honda service centres and on both occasions the vehicle was retained for nearly a week. I was informed that the valves had been adjusted, but unfortunately, this was only a temporary solution. The same engine noise returned after approximately **1,000 km**.
Now, I have been advised to replace certain engine parts at an estimated cost of around **₹14,000**. It is very disappointing that a Honda engine has developed such an issue at only around **33,000 km**.
I previously owned a **Honda Shine**, which suffered a major engine seizure at around **62,000 km**. Despite that experience, I continued to trust Honda and purchased the Unicorn 160, expecting better quality, durability and reliability. Unfortunately, I am once again facing a similar disappointment.
Another concern is that **spare parts are frequently replaced during servicing**, which adds a significant financial burden to customers. This raises serious concerns about the **quality and durability of the spare parts** and ultimately results in higher maintenance costs for loyal Honda customers.
As a long-time Honda customer, I expected much better product quality and after-sales support. I strongly request Honda to investigate the root cause of this issue and provide a **permanent solution with replacement of the defective engine parts under warranty**, rather than continuing with temporary repairs.
**Very disappointing experience with a brand I trusted for quality and reliability. I expected much better from Honda.**
