The Honda Shine is a popular commuter motorcycle known for its reliability, efficiency, and comfortable riding experience. Here's a detailed review of the Honda Shine:**Design and Build:**The Honda Shine boasts a simple yet stylish design. It features a sleek and aerodynamic body with attractive graphics and a well-finished paint job. The build quality is commendable, with sturdy components that can withstand daily commuting and occasional rough usage.**Engine and Performance:**The Honda Shine is equipped with a refined 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine. This engine produces around 10.74 bhp of power and 11 Nm of torque. While it may not be the most powerful bike in its segment, it offers a smooth and predictable power delivery. The engine is known for its reliability and fuel efficiency, making it an excellent choice for city commuting and occasional highway trips.**Ride and Handling:**One of the standout features of the Honda Shine is its comfortable ride and excellent handling. The bike has a well-tuned suspension system that can absorb minor bumps and provide a smooth ride. The handling is precise and stable, making it easy to maneuver through traffic. The seat is comfortable for both the rider and pillion, which adds to the overall riding experience.**Brakes and Safety:**The Honda Shine comes equipped with a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. This combination provides adequate stopping power, ensuring good control over the bike. However, it's worth noting that some competitors offer options for front and rear disc brakes for improved braking performance.**Fuel Efficiency:**One of the standout characteristics of the Honda Shine is its excellent fuel efficiency. It can deliver mileage figures of around 55-60 kmpl in city conditions and even higher on highways, depending on riding habits. This makes it an economical choice for daily commuting.**Features:**While the Honda Shine is not loaded with advanced features, it comes with essential elements like a digital-analog instrument cluster, tubeless tires, and a DC headlamp. These features add to the convenience and safety of the bike.**Price and Value for Money:**The Honda Shine is competitively priced in its segment, making it an attractive choice for budget-conscious buyers. Considering its reliability, fuel efficiency, and comfortable ride, it offers good value for money.**Conclusion:**In summary, the Honda Shine is a reliable and efficient commuter motorcycle with a focus on practicality and comfort. It may not have the most powerful engine or the latest tech features, but it excels in providing a hassle-free and economical riding experience, which is precisely what many riders look for in a commuter bike. If you prioritize reliability and efficiency in your daily commute, the Honda Shine is worth considering.

The purchase of the Honda Shine in September 2020. Shine 125 cc colour is excellent and mileage is amazing, 70 to 72/litre mileage is recorded. I was driving in an urban area and on the highway. I have been using this bike for more than 13 years and never faced any problems. I do service regularly. I used to go to hilly areas pickup is superb. I ride more than 45000 km but no pollution. In Mumbai, the biggest problem is the rusting of parts. I have done anti rust coating but stolen parts get rust. But the good thing is that parts are available after 13 years.

Review for better milege

Honda Shine is a nice bike to use every day. Free service is not worth using because the service agency does not do full service, they just do water wash only. While increasing the speed above 60, the bike makes some noise. after 70 to 100 speed bike will run smoothly.service is a must for once in a 5 or 6-month gap. Need to change the air filter periodically for better mileage.

Change the air filter periodically, otherwise, it will damage the piston Maintenance/Service needs to be done once every 5 months. Need to change oil from 2000km to 2500km

I am using Honda Shine for 3 years now. Let me start with positives coz there are only a few. When I first bought it, it was really an affordable price and it gives me a decent mileage nearly above 50kmpl but it gave me so many problems that I have spent more than I could have saved with this mileage. Gear shifting problem as usual. Rear brake shoe problem within 1.5 years and now my front brake is giving me sound as well. Also, I have a new problem now, my Bike engine gets turned off automatically if I stop raising the accelerator and the self-start is not working most of the time. I daily commute 2 hrs in my bike but I did not expect such problems from a standard company like Honda.
