  • Good and rough bike

    Vishal

The Royal Enfield Classic is a retro-styled bike that offers a smooth and easy ride, a charming engine sound, and a nostalgic look. It is also affordable and economical to run. However, it also has some drawbacks, such as weak brakes, lack of a sixth gear, and low top-speed
    Royal Enfield Classic
    Pros:
Visual appeal: The Classic 350 has a charming vintage design that attracts many riders who love the old-school look and feel of the bike. It has a round headlamp, round mirrors, a peanut-shaped fuel tank, a peashooter-style exhaust, and a generous amount of chrome on some variants.
Smooth engine: The new 350cc engine, which is part of the new J platform, is much smoother and more refined than the previous model. It has less vibrations, less noise, and more efficient valve timings. It also has a gear primary drive that reduces transmission losses and a primary balancer shaft that reduces vibrations.
Handling: The new Classic 350 has a better weight distribution and a dual-cradle chassis that make it more balanced and agile. It also has fatter front forks, more travel on the rear shocks, thicker wheels, and fatter tires that improve the ride quality and stability of the bike.
After-sales and service network: The Classic 350 is not an expensive bike to maintain, as the service cost is around Rs 1,200-1,400 under the initial free services. Moreover, finding a Royal Enfield service center is not a difficult task in any region across India, thanks to the brand’s robust service network.
    Cons:
Heavyweight: The Classic 350 weighs 195kg, which is quite heavy for a motorcycle of its segment. This makes it hard to maneuver in tight spaces, slow traffic, or parking areas. It also requires a lot of strength and technique to pick up the bike if it falls down.
Firm ride quality: The Classic 350 has a firm suspension setup that may not suit everyone’s preference. It can be uncomfortable on rough roads, potholes, or speed bumps. Some riders may also find the seats too hard or too high for their comfort.
No overtaking: The Classic 350 is not a fast bike, as it has a modest power output of 20.2 bhp and a top speed of around 120 kmph. It also has a long gear ratio that makes it sluggish in acceleration. This means that overtaking on highways or overtaking other vehicles can be challenging and risky on the Classic 350.
No gear indicator: The Classic 350 does not have a gear indicator on its instrument cluster, which can be a drawback for some riders. It can be confusing to keep track of the gear position, especially in traffic or when shifting gears frequently. A gear indicator would have been a useful feature to have on the bike.

Hello, at first I thought to buy a classic 350 , but after visiting the showroom sales salesperson shared the cons and pros of the classic 350. So, I thought it would take more maintenance cost compared to bullet/standard 350. Bullet 350 was nostalgic from my childhood regarding design, appearance and looks. So I went for Bullet 350. After 2-3 servicings vehicle got more performance and mileage. Servicing and maintenance costs were not so high. Bullet 350 was a workable vehicle. Now it was running at the reading of 40k km, still, the vehicle didn't have any major issue.

  • Throttle Back in Time: The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 - A Classic Cruiser Review

    Shubham Shekhar

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is an iconic motorcycle that has been in production for several decades, known for its classic design, robust build, and thumping engine sound. Here's a detailed review covering various aspects of the bike:
    1. Design:
The design of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is timeless, featuring a retro-styled, vintage look that pays homage to its heritage. With its teardrop-shaped fuel tank, long exhaust, and exposed engine components, it exudes a sense of nostalgia while still feeling relevant on modern roads.
    2. Engine Performance:
At the heart of the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is a 346cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. While it may not deliver the blistering acceleration of modern sport bikes, it offers a smooth and torquey power delivery, making it well-suited for leisurely cruising and highway touring. The thumping exhaust note is a signature characteristic of Royal Enfield motorcycles, adding to the overall riding experience.
    3. Ride Quality:
The Bullet 350 features a simple, no-frills suspension setup with telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. While this configuration may not offer the plushness of more advanced suspension systems, it provides a comfortable ride over most road surfaces. The upright riding position and wide handlebars contribute to a relaxed and commanding stance, ideal for long-distance journeys.
    4. Handling and Braking:
With its classic cruiser-style design, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 prioritizes stability and predictability over sharp handling. The bike feels planted and composed at moderate speeds, making it well-suited for cruising on highways and tackling winding roads with confidence. However, its relatively hefty weight and long wheelbase may require some getting used to, especially for novice riders. The braking performance is adequate, with a front disc brake and rear drum brake providing sufficient stopping power for most riding situations.
    5. Features and Equipment:
In terms of features and equipment, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 keeps things simple. It comes with essentials such as an electric start, a halogen headlight, analogue instrumentation, and a Kickstarter as a backup. While it may lack modern amenities like ABS or digital displays found in newer motorcycles, its minimalist approach aligns with the bike's classic character and helps keep the overall cost affordable.
    6. Reliability and Maintenance:
Royal Enfield motorcycles are known for their rugged build quality and reliability, and the Bullet 350 is no exception. With proper maintenance and regular servicing, the bike can provide years of trouble-free riding enjoyment. However, it's essential to adhere to the manufacturer's recommended service intervals and address any issues promptly to ensure longevity.
    7. Value for Money:
The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 offers excellent value for money, especially for riders who appreciate its classic design and old-school charm. With its relatively affordable price tag compared to more premium motorcycles, it provides an accessible entry point into the world of cruisers and retro bikes.
    Conclusion:
In summary, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is a classic motorcycle that appeals to riders seeking a blend of nostalgia, simplicity, and reliability. While it may not boast the latest technological innovations or performance figures of modern bikes, it excels in providing an authentic riding experience rooted in tradition. Whether you're cruising down scenic highways or navigating bustling city streets, the Bullet 350 offers a timeless charm that is sure to captivate riders for years to come.

    Bhanu Prakash

Just have awesome old-school looks. favorite of all from children to old ones.
Service and maintenance are not so expensive. As for the motorcycle, it's just worthy
The only Cons is to chain set, the bullet's chain set needs to renew after only a few 5000-10000 km.

    Bhanu Prakash
