I have ridden approx 390 km. This bike is not that much i was expecting. As old fz is known for power+smoothness, but after 6000 rpm fz25 foot pegs starts vibration. Pickup is really nice but speed top end not good. Look wise perfect, mileage nice. Waiting for first service because service manager said that after service this will be smoother. You will definitely feel lack of 6th gear. I will share my experience after first service also.

2-riding is good for all road whether city or nh ....In nh is simply great.Going through a long stretch of mountain roads

3-air cooling facility was too good

4-6th gear and abs system not here in fz 25 that must be bad thing for yamaha rider but it's enough for this range

5-servicing in yamaha service centre was very prompted..They interact was very good

6 -i loved it.Really i love this bike.If you wanna want to buy under price 1.50lac then you must go with yamaha fz25

Before fz25, i was driving honda unicorn for 6 yrs and wanted to upgrade to a higher capacity premium bike for better riding. Naked street bike with abs, better city ride and handling and higher service interval is my criteria, so i had a list starting from hero xtreme 200, apache rtr 200, fz 25, duke 250 and maximum to bmw 310r. I personally test drove all the bikes, read and watched lot of reviews on all these bikes. Finally selected fz 25.Hero xtreme 200 is too basic and not comparable to other bikes in the list. Rtr 200 is good to ride but not smooth and premium as fz 25, also service interval is shorter and is not suitable even for rare touring . Duke 250 in all terms is better than fz 25, but i was looking for bike with abs without compromise. Duke 250 abs released so late after fz 25 abs. Finally bmw 310r was an awesome bike which will bring lots of brand value then any other motorcycle in this segment. Even they offered the bike with 0% emi and free insurance, there were lot of reviews on higher maintenance cost. Which made me to take it off the list. Now fz 25, Buying experience: i decided on the bike but was waiting for abs variant. Probably i got the first abs variant of the bike in chennai but i waited almost two month after announcement and immediate booking. Follow up with showroom is a horrible experience.Look: it looks muscular and well built, but after launch of fz v3.0 except rear led light there is nothing unique about fz 25. Not impressive as a duke 250.Riding: it drives so well in the city and in highway too. Torque delivery is linear, so driving upto 100km/hr is smooth and vibration free. Handling of the bike is fantastic. In city traffic it is easily maneuverable.Seating: i am 6ft tall, i feel bike is slightly shorter for me. But still i sit comfortable in the wider seat. Pillion comfort is below average. Most people doesn't prefer to sit in rear seat.Braking: front is good and rear is useless. Driving this bike without abs in city will be highly risky. Even now with abs, rear wheel locks very often. Tyres: it offers good grip on normal roads but because of larger rear tyre, braking this bike in gravel will make it slide and increases the risk.Suspension: soft front and hard rear, occasional discomfort will be felt from it.Transmission: clutch is slightly harder, continuous riding in city will cause pain in the left hand. Gear change won't be pleasant. One good is we can even ride slow in higher gears makes it manageable in city. Each time we will expect a 6th gear but that is missing.Service: normally in website service interval is 5000km or 6 months from "last service date", but in service manual for free service it is mentioned as 2 months, 6 months and 1 year from "date of purchase". This is confusing and finally we need to do service as per manual to maintain the warranty.Maintenance: service cost is around 1500 for free service including chain lubrication.Mileage: main advantage of this bike, if offers minimum 30km/liter in city riding.Pros:1) amazing bike to drive in city and can be used weekend touring too 2) bike cost under 2lakhs, maintenance cost is manageable and offers great mileage for a 250cc bike. Cons: 1) there are some senseless elements in the bike like, side mirror (50% of if will show our shoulders for us), instrument cluster (no other bike will have time and odometer on same place and provide a button to toggle),Center plastic design in tank (it started fading immediately and i see scratches for just placing helmet in it) 2) in abs variant they replace exhaust pipe with alloy but still it rusts. Also in many other places i see rusting.3) lack of 6th gear.

Yamaha fz25 shows a 10/10 performance in all aspects.I own fz25-white in color The bike has a comfortable seating and great looks, comfortable in cruising through city traffic, also the looks of the bike are eye catching people always stare at the ride and the sound is just amazing. As a 250cc bike its maintenance costs are quite moderate as it has a 2l engine oil capacity.Only cons of fz25 is that its not monsoon friendly!Other than that the bike is just beast!!!

After buying this bike with blunt purchase from dealership on first day the ride experience was okay later in a week the bike had frequent maintenance of rear and front brakes within a weak and chain loosening.
Lights of bike is of no use at night.
Yamaha has compromised with its quality and standards to increase sale by reducing price.

I felt it is worth for money, i got fz 25 @ 1.5l on road.**travelled distance** i have ridden 12000km. I went for some trips also. **mileage** in bangalore traffic i can see average of 32. On highway 35-38. **petrol** i am using shell normal petrol.**breakdown** i never faced any issue of this kind. **bike performance** great pick up, good strength and comfortable back seat also compared to fz -s. Some times i used to felt that gears are hard but. That was my riding issue. I used ride this bike as other bikes. No. We should not ride like that. For up shifts hold the clutch rev down and put some pressure on gears. Now so smooth. **top speed** i went @ 135 kmph after that due to vehicles stopped down. I wanted to test its max speed. @ 135 also i have not seen any vibrations of handle but @ 80-90 the mirrors will start to vibrate.**braking** good braking, unfortunately there is no abs. But i never felt it is needed. ** lights** average focus. **look** sexy look, it will grab your eyes.Thanks.

I owned this bike since 2019 and till now i have drove around 27000 kms. After a lot of experience with this bike i will be giving a honest review. Its a high speed bike so you will enjoy the speed in highways. First start with looks, Bike look super cool as far as look is concerned. But it depends on your taste and flavour. Yamaha is after all yamaha. Engine : 5/5150 cc engine. It is having great pickup speed. Maintenance is low as far as drive according to company instructions. Comfort : 3/5Yes you will feel jerk in your back when you drive this bike is uneven areas in the road. Strictly this bike is not for even roads. You need good roads to enjoy its comfortability in front seat. Back seat you will not find yourself comfortable. You will feel jerk in the handles too after a period of time will require bearing or swingarm maintenance. Brakes: Front brake is not so powerful although its a disk break. Rear brakes are rear brakes no issues with that. Petrol tank is covered with fibre that is a good thing. Overall i will give 3 out 5 with overall performance of the bike.
