  • An absolute stunner, the most comfortable bike in this segment

    Akashneel Basak

I have bought this 4 days ago. This has killer looks. I have to travel 40 km daily for office. This is perfect commuter cum tourer. I have driven 350 km in 3 days only. This has the best control in its segment. Front ABS is quite impressive though the rear one is not that great. But it is very responsive bike and easily maneuverable in any kind of traffic. Though it has less power compared to others in this segment but one can not really feel this. Overtaking and speeding is very smooth.
    Pros
    1. Control 10/10- What a control man... Best in its segment.
    2. Mileage-10/10- Around 50 kmpl. Quite impressive.
    3. Visual appearance- 8/10- Front looks is killer. Though the rear portion is somehow neglected in terms of looks.
    4. Electricals-8/10- Front beam is good. But not that great. No led backlight and indicators.
    5. Bluetooth -I don't know if company will provide this for existing BS6 model. But if they provide this this will be first in segment feature.
    6. Comfort - 10/10- I have bought this only for control. Easily maneuverable in traffic. Rear Ceat Radial tyre will never let you down. Be in cornering, or be in city traffic, you will never feel out of confidence.
    Cons
    1. Rear looks- This part is neglected in this bike
    2. Seat- Could be a bit softer
    3. Rear brakes- Kinda loose
    4. Lights- Could be better
I have excluded power from cons as it actually makes no difference for me as I usually do not drive more than in 110kmph.
    Final verdict
I have upgraded from glamour bs 3. If you are an occasional tourer, daily commuter, do not want to drive in 120 kmph or above, want to attract attention while driving and most importantly want comfort in bike this is not only the best but also the only choice for you in this segment and price range.
P.S. I wish yamaha to provide bluetooth device for this.

  • I am suggesting everyone to don't buy this bike

    Shailesh

    1) buying experience was good.2) riding experience is good up to 6 months only.3) body parts are not so good. The parts beside the petrol tank is loosing and total body of the bike is covered with plastic and performance wise pick up is not good as much as from fzv1 or fzv2. Mudguard is also not good company fzv2 it has given good but now for fzv3 no use of that mudguard, in rainy season the bike becomes very dirty and ugly.4) service given by yamaha is good in any showroom.

I would like to review this bike on my personal experience. I am a regular commuter and my daily traveling is around 55 km.Look : the bike has some appeal to it specially the colour of my bike hurricane blue really looks good.Build quality : above average the buttons and switches are of good quality but i feel the body is not made properly specially the front section of tachometer shakes a lot.Bike parts : my major complaint is about the parts which are used in this bike.1) chain sprocket is of really bad quality i have to change it in a span of 8 months ( i previously owned an passion pro it took me around 3 years to change it.2) oil spill from shock absorbers . How can the oil seal get damaged so early.3) there was rusting on the metal bar which holds both the shock absorber's. It happened within a span of 2 months after i purchased the bike still face the same issue.4) the tires gave me good comfort and confidence in the beginning but after first puncture in the back tyre the bike doesn't feels so comfortable as it keeps on getting punctured and the back end of the bike is a little draggy.5) the body of the bike shakes a little in windy condition much better than my previous bike but expected much more from it as i saw lot of good reviews before buying. Mileage : i regularly got a mileage of around 40 to 45 which can be considered as a good one the best which i could get was around 49.Pocket friendly : servicing the bike has been around 1 k only the first two service was around 700 rs after that all the service was around or above 1 k.

The bike is superb! i have used this bike for 7 months and all i have is good thoughts. Provides excellent mileage, breaking system is good, looks stylish and sitting is very comfortable. Although it provides less power, but this provides comfort for normal day to day rides. Thus it is a must buy bike for normal traveling.

Being a owner and riding for 3 months(2700km) i'm sharing my personal opinion: pros: 1)looks and style -naked and perfect in this segment 2) mileage-40-45kmpl. Good for daily commute. 3) handling and ri ding posture great. 4) braking perfect, it will respond smoothly. 5) speed 0-60 no issue at city and highway, above 85 kmph it struggles on highway, you feel vibrations and if your weight 60-75kg you might feel wind factor also on highway. 6) rider-pillion seat perfect for 2 persons. Not more than 2..Cons: 1) some sound observed in 0-40kmph speed in low rpm.. Though service technician said it's normal in fz.. But i don't like.. Compare to honda little notchy or scratchhy sound observed. 2) top end you will miss on highway for sure. Confidence will low on highway due to 5no point mention above. 3) body parts(plastic or fibre) material should be better. If you want to buy for your daily commutes its perfect. It's good for highway and touring also but within 90kmph speed.. I've traveled 300-350km(3times) in a single day within 6-7hrs without facing any issue except 5 no point mention in pros. Hope this will help. This is my personal opinion.. You might differ..

Amazing Bike. Service quality is good. This cruises above 110 and doesn't wobble. Attractive design. No big issues after one year(11000km) of driving. Took it in the cities, highways and worst roads but the performance doesn't drop a bit. Yamaha's engines are always the best. At the end if you maintain and ride it properly, the bike never disappoints you.

I bought this bike on July 2020. Buying experience was good. I am using this bike for daily commute. The only problem I faced is with the bike's rear tyre. The tyre gets flat almost in every three days or two. The alloy was bent so I thought it's the fault but even after repairing it. I am facing the same issue. I am getting a mileage of 36 km/l no issues with bike but rear tyre has became a nightmare for me.
