Excellent bike for touring and daily commuting, rode almost 1000 kms since I bought 1 month back, had done the first service and there was excellent improvement in mileage and engine heating issue. Maintain economical speed and you will love the RE engine to its core... There is a bit issue with seat comfort when driving with a pillion because of the stiff ride. Mirrors provided as a standard accessory are not worth it, need to change to touring mirrors because of some vibrations and low quality, Had to sacrifice some needed accessories because of weight shredding and cost, otherwise, it is a hunter for sure...
After all who doesn't want to have fun with Royal Enfield engine.... just go for it and have a shot of motorcycling experience...

  • An attractive compromise!

    Shyam

    Buying experience - (dapper ash)
The staff was nonattentive as there is huge demand. Once you get a salesperson to help they convince you to buy the top Rebel variant, accessories, insurance, extended warranty, etc. Which I declined as local shops offer a better deal. On the road, it came to 2.2 lacs.
    Riding experience -
The engine is full of torque and gives you same the feel as riding a classic 350 i.E. Attention and torque with poor mileage. The cruising speed is 80kmph higher than that brakes will not be helpful. The bike is designed for cities but the potholes and speed breakers are not its best friends. Ground clearance is low for a bike meant to be ridden in a city. Pillion comfort is terrible as the seats are uncomfortable and the ladies' footrest is absent. Summer riding in shorts will definitely give you a waxing engine that heats up and can be felt on calves.
    Details about looks, performance, etc.
It looks attractive and certainly catches the attention of people but, sometimes in a bad way as jealousy scratches and dirt splashes are very common. The solo ride is amazing on highways but the city rides are stiff, difficult to manage, and feel the need for a slipper clutch. Mileage is standard royal enfield 24-28 km. Pillion comfort is seriously missing. Missing tachometer and basic information on the instrument cluster and poor quality materials on side panels disappointment from royal enfield on a 2.2 lacs bike.
    Servicing and maintenance
Standard royal enfield service and maintenance costs are affordable. The bike if maintained well would not give trouble. The staff is decent the job gets done.
    Bottom line -
If you are looking for a fun royal Enfield motorbike around 2.2 lacs it is a great fit for you minus the "practicality".

  • Bike like a bull

    Supratick Chakraborty

    - the buying experience was quite easy and quick they gave me the motorcycle after the documentation and payment.
    - coming to the riding experience it's just amazing and recently I fell inside a small pit hole (damaged road) the bike literally jumped and that situation proved it has a really good suspension the riding is smooth and the handling is good and easy to ride in traffic and narrow roads.
    - the performance of the bike is just speechless the torque is super nice and the sound of the silencer is very standard and it's not irritating at all brakes are good could have been improved.
    - servicing and maintenance costs are similar to other royal enfield models and the engine oil which is used in this variant is semi-synthetic.
    - pros:
    + good handling
+ easy to ride in cities
    + good mileage
    + good torque
    + too many colour choices
    + good suspension
    + usb charging available
    - cons:
    - gps is not available
    - brakes could be improved more.

  • When an untamed beast is set out free the hunt begins.

    Dinesh

    1. Buying experience was good.
    2. Riding experience is awesome.
    Pure motorcycling.
It's like a classic 350 trained to sports mode.
This bike is an untamed beast, fresh from the wild, ready to conquer the road.
    3. The dapper grey is more brutal and reminds me of a black wolf.
Performance is raw, brutal, thumpy, bassy, and very powerful.
Be gentle with the throttle or it may burn the road down.
The throttle response is very sharp and precise.
    4. First free service cost me 1923.
    The labor charge is free.
Materials used for service are chargeable.
I chain lube every 500-800km and wash using very mild detergent every 3-4 days.
    5. Pros
    A) >powerful and brutal engine that produces very high torque at only 4000rpm.
    B) >very smooth and stable performance even at cruising speeds above 90kmph.
    C) > This bike is enjoyable at both lower and high speeds.
    D) > high-quality materials used.
    E) >mileage is very good (40-45km if driven in 55kmph-65kmph range)
    F) > Stronger road presence.
    G) >affordable
    H) >easy to handle, manuevre.
    The cons are very low.
    A) too handsome.
    B) halogen lights

    Perfect bike
It's a perfect bike for new riders who wants to own a royal Enfield. Its dapper series is the best variant to buy and value for money. It has a roadster stance giving me a feel of power with agility and control. The engine is refined and gives a punch of power at lower rpm, you can cruise easily 80-90kmph, and you can easily get a mileage of 38-40kmpl with relaxed riding. The missing ladies' footrest and led lights in the front headlight are a weak side. Otherwise, it's a superb package to buy.

I purchased this bike a few days back only and I can see that this is a top-class bike for every person. I will suggest that people buy this bike for every day or trip also this is amazing. When riding this in top speed you never feel any doubt or fly and grip and the sound of 5his bike is also too low.
