The new duke 390 2017 is a "corner rocket",the sudden rush of speed in your body from the first rev of the throttle is enough to make you fall heads over heels for this bike. The designing and styling of the new 2017 390 duke is much better than it's predecessor with all new stickers and bold orange for which ktm is known for although i would've liked an all black version like the super duke 1290 on which this baby is based on.The most pleasing feature of this bike imo is the new tft multicoloured display which includes all your standard trip metres and more like rider modes(supermoto's my favourite. Tho) , you can turn off abs from it , well not fully but i think that is one of the pros of this bike which gives you more sense of security on the when you're riding this baby beast, the only additions i would love to have in the bike is if tft display had wifi connectivity and some sort of firmware update to accumulate street maps in them so it would be much more smoother experience for the rider and also the inclusion of gps, also the metzeler's on the new duke is tad bit expensive for almost 17k bucks to replace but they do more than justice in terms of griping on the road. For the one's who didn't ride the previous 390s and rode this one, this kind of power release is much hard to find in this category of motorcycles but as I've heard the previous versions are much more raw and sheer power like a cheetah on the loose but this one is like a caged lion waiting to unleash it's power(which is already more than enough for me).All this combined with ride by wire throttle response , slipper clutch(i think ) , adjustable clutches makes this a beast which is ready to burn the streets.
