The KTM RC 125 receives heavy updates for 2022 in the styling, features and mechanical departments. With a completely new bodywork that has been inspired by the KTM RC8, the RC 125 might look less sharper but is seemingly more aerodynamic than before. It sports a bubble type visor along with re-designed fairing and fuel tank. The distinctive twin projector lamps have made way for a single halogen unit with the turn indicators fitted on the fairing. Even the sub-frame has been tweaked and the pillion seat is now flatter and more spacious.
All of the revisions to the bodywork have resulted in a 3.4kg weight reduction, even though the 2022 RC 125 gets a bigger, 13.7-litre fuel tank. Underneath, the 124cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine has received minor changes like a larger airbox that is said to offer better lower-end torque. KTM has also revised the radiator so that the RC 125 runs cooler.
In terms of features, the new KTM RC 125 features an LCD instrument cluster, a much-needed change over the dated, orange-backlit unit it came with earlier. While the suspension setup consisting of a WP-sourced inverted forks up front and a monoshock at the rear, is similar to the older gen, the braking setup have been revised. The RC 125 now uses a 320mm disc up front that is bigger than 200mm disc it used previously. On the other hand, the 230mm rear disc remains the same. Moreover, the RC 125 now sports lighter, 5-spoke wheels.
In terms of competition, it will take on the Yamaha R15 V4 in India.

I saw a KTM bike in 2014 on the street and from then I had a dream to buy one. It was really a dream come true moment when bought it in 2019 as a gift for my brother. As a safety, I took KTM RC 125 and the expectations with the performance and looks were wonderful. Riding the bike feels so sporty especially when you ride it on the highway at the speed of 100+km/h.

Shitty bike I have ever own!

Pathetic experience in every situation! After my Pulsar F250, I also buy this for a sporty look and daily commute. Ooh, man!!! This bike gives me a 28-32 kmpl average in the city! But 50% bigger engine my Pulsar 250 gives me 33-38 kmpl in the city! (overtake city traffic is very difficult, so every time I drop a gear and full throttle helps me overtake the traffic it causes this bike to has very very low mileage! I regret my decision to purchase this bike. This bike has no purpose!!! Not a daily city commuter, not a fun-to-ride machine, not a top-end killer, not a value-for-money option, and no initial power to overtake the city (TVS raider has better acceleration in the city compared to this shit!).This is only for poor KTM lovers bike, who can't afford Duke 250 or rc200 or 390! But no sense to buy this bike. Also, this bike's resale value is very very pathetic!!! I recently sold a 5-month-old bike (4,600km ridden) for 1.4 lakh rupees only!! :(

Tips for other riders
In city traffic alwase use 1st and 2nd gear and full throttle in traffic for better overtaking (then milage will dropped to 26-30 kmpl) And use castrol power one engine oil, iridium spark plug and performance air filter for better acceleration.

Fresh oil helps maintain engine performance and longevity. So always change your oil after 3000 or 3500 km. Periodically check and clean the air filter. A clean filter enhances airflow, optimizing the engine's efficiency. Replace it if necessary, following the maintenance schedule. Always check the break and disc for your safety.

The RC125 takes aeons to get to 100kmph though and clocked a time of 18.42 seconds in our test.

The KTM RC125 managed to put a smile on my face when I rode it at Bajaj's test track near Pune, despite its coffee mug-sized engine. Of course, it runs KTM's genes and in this case, the fact that the bike is 'just' a 125cc motorcycle didn't matter too much since the bike uses a chassis and cycle parts that are usually seen on motorcycles powered by engines displacing twice, which helped the RC125 deliver the goods. But now, it's time to take the little RC out of its comfort zone and put it through the grind of commuting in traffic, to see how KTM's smallest sports bike takes on the drudgery.

Tips for other riders
Service your bike without missing. Always keep more then 1 liter fuel in fuel tank. Ride at normal speed in traffic and you can ride faster in highways. Clean chain for every 500 kms and lub it well. Always clean your bike and get check when you feel any bad. And finally don't give your bike to other more frequently, because the way of driving changes makes bike lose power early and gets some different problems

Way too Costly
Jerry
Instead of buying RC125, it's better to go for RC200, Suzuki Gixxer 150 or the best Yamaha R15. This bike is way too costly and the new Ferring seems a bit uncool. The pillion height has increased as well. Talking about mileage it's okay but won't be able to take this bike for a longer ride.
