I was searching for a bike with a overall performance. I saw the ninja 300 tnt 300 and r3. But there are me Reasons such as service availability is not there at my locality. Missing of ABS is bad as they are priced higher than the 390. The new 390 is well refined looks bloody good. It is heavier than its predecessor but it is manageable. The highlight part of this 390 is the 1st in class TFT display which only comes in the leader class motorcycles such as the street triple RS etc. I use it for everyday commuting and some in touring. It is really a Cornering rocket and very sharp. It could be even better to have the older 390's tyres to have some more grip. But the newer tyres lasts longer. On the highways I get up to 25kmph which is fine. The heating is reduced by the radiator but runs all the way. There are more things to say and so the conclusion is that it is the best beast to buy at present in the market. pros :value for money, looks (Good) power. Cons : not yet.

I got a used bike from a close friend who hardly used the bike. Initially i was overwhelmed by the power and the 0-100 acceleration. Once i got comfortable with it, i enjoyed riding the bike a lot. This bike is supposed to be ridded during weekends or for long rides. I don't recommend this bike for heavy traffic work commuting, as it can get heated up. The new ktms are much better in handling heat, however the bike can get heated on stop and go traffic, as it has a very high compression ratio. The highway riding experience of the bike is amazing. You will inspire confidence immediately. The bike is extremely safe when it comes to breaking in any condition, due to its terrific soft compound racing tyres and the amazing dual channel abs with huge discs. The power will make always cheer you up. 0-100 in 5.5secs for a bike under 3.4l, this is insane. I ideally cruise in safe speeds, but when i feel bored on a open stretch, for few secs, i open the throttle to bring a bit of energy to the ride and i go back to safe cruising speeds. The bike is extraordinary when it comes to razor sharp handling and breaking departments. Looks are subjective. I personally love the way the bike looks, with its themed orange avatar. Servicing is once is 5000 kms(as recommended by manual). Service cost is rs. 5000-5500 and it's very reasonable for the quality of service. The quality of the components are amazing, they really last. The tyres cost a fortune (19k a pair), but it will save your from skidding easily even during wet conditions. (we still have to drive safely in wet and slippery condition) Pros: powerful bike, amazing breaks with abs, slipper clutch, excellent tyres, great seating position, great quality of components in bike. Powerful headlights. Daytime running lights, decent mileage (~30kmpl on highway and 26kmpl on city) for a 390, great for cruising long distances, has protector for hands, seats are comfortable and firm enough to get the right comfort and control. Cons: horn is not loud enough sometimes. During heavy stop and go traffic, the bike might get heated if used for long time.

    1. Buying experience: I received my beast from vazuthacaud bajaj pro biking, thiruvananthapum. The staff were ok and finance process were all done fast. I paid 70% so my emi is very low(3400). They gave a july 18 model which was freshly stocked on august 18. No helmet or other accessories came along with it, but i was and still is overwhelmed by the next category.2. Riding experience.Words can't describe it. This is my first time owning an above 150cc vehicle that pumped 43 bhp at a twist of the throttle but it was surprisingly very 'in control' power. Not linear! god's no, it is like you are a sukhoi pilot. You can start of slow or you can start of fast. It was entirely up to me on how i wanted it. I usually use the beast for tours only and with the addition of a pair of highway footpegs, i could ride on for two hours in a single stretch, cover about a 150-180km in the run. Vibration was never noticeable considering the facr that i switched from a seven year old bajaj discover 125. The seats are a bit hard, but they are manageable. Might want to put an air cushion there. My mom also love going on it to temples and her friends house and somehow (god knows) managed to sit sideways with her feet on the single footpeg. I think she places one leg over the other. 3. Looks and performance: Looks...Well god may come to us in forms we will never notice but the devil's flashy as hell. He "will" make head turn. Ofcourse, this is not a chick magnet, they look the same way at the bike as guys do. Not gonna be awed by the sight or ask for your number unless ofcourse you are some top notch celeb.Performance...You won't believe it, but if you shift between 4k and 5k rpm, you'll get 30km for a litre. I once filled the entire tank smto brim and got a whopping 380km done before it coughed and immediately killed the engine. And in highways when i hit signals and my friends who are on 400cc power cruiser and a 650cc cafe racer try to launch at a green...All they'll see is my white number board. But i don't race, only these launches. Brakes are phenomenal. You can trust then beyond reason. Abs is at it's finest and the tech sure as hell is worth the g's i spent.4. Services. The official ktm service centre isn't that... Passionate maybe the word. Delivery etc are poor. I stopped after my free services were maxed, which by the way still costs you 2k. Maintenance: you need a dry place to prevent rusting of discs and screws. Buy the cover and lube it ever 500km. Just use the car jack after you tie the front brake with a lace or something. You will be charged 5k to 6k for a liquimoly service which i recommend you do.Pros and cons: Good commuter if you can manage those revs.Excellent ride quality Great personality, No backpains if you go solo Etc etc.The thing is, this monster gives you the power and ultimately, it is the our minds that decide it's worth.

I bought this bike with high hope But the thing is it's reliability is too poor I bought the first batch of bike's. Bought in 2017 Finished 35k km till now. Had several seriously several issues Which are not even sorted till now Service quality is average to poor. Most problems svc doesn't even know how to solve My take on the bike is *yes it's high on power *it has good dynamics*it's high on features. But It's all totally unreliable. See*within 3 months i had coolant mix with engine oil *clutch problem *major electrical problems*chain noise (hitting the swingarm) tak tak noise even after lubing and adjusting it*brake oil lining getting cracked(unsafe)*display having bluetooth problem*bike vibrating which is too much to adjust( yes it's a big single but the vibe during the first 5k km to the vibes now are just irresistible)* heating i won't say is a problem coz of the big engine*poor paint quality*pathetic build quality. So for the first 10k km the bike will be good then after it will just urge you to sell it That's how the owner experience will be.

I bought the 390 duke (white). Review as follows 1.Performance is top notch!! (it's ktm, obviously!!). This can reach a top speed of 170.2. Riding is awesome but for heavy traffic, the seats are not good as they literally give you a 'pain in the ass' (both rider & pillion, pillion rider gets it first).3. This bike can give good mileage(25-29 kmpl) if you ride at below 4000 rpm and at 3rd, 4th,5th gear at a speed of 40-55 kmph in (if normal) city traffic!! 4.In the highways, for mileage you got keep it at 70 - 90 kmph for the best mileage ( best for touring).
