I bought this 3 yrs ago. I had a very bad experience with this scooter . Stuck many times on middle of the highway.More than 4 times engine is opened. There is no proper solution for engine , not only with my scooter every person has the same problem in service center. Need to change engine oil after every 500-600 kms. Consumption of fuel is very high, only gives average of 30-35 kmpl. I recommend please go for other scooters in market. Otherwise you are the next one to write a review on this page. :)

  • My 1 year riding experience with advantages & disadvantages!!

    Ranjit Kumar

Hello friends, thanks for reading my review. In this review i am telling you all the aspects of hero maestro edge vx 2016 with the advantages and disadvantages and this is my own experience about this scooter. Before start i give you some information , i bought my maestro edge vx on December 2015 , i had driven this for more than a year. Okay i come to the point , here is my review:-

#looks- looks is just awesome, overall edgy design, nice and trendy exhaust, bike style front mud guard, black cast alloy wheels looks good.

#features & specifications- maestro edge vx is loaded with some cool features which you have not found in others: 1)analog+digital instrument console and digital display has consist of~ low fuel indicator, service reminder, trip meter, odometer.

    2) rear led lights strip,

    3)front telescopic suspension

    4)combi brake

5)12" inch front and 10 inch wheels with tubeless tyres

    6) parking lever

#performance-it has a 110 cc engine as you know, if i talk about the performance , the performance is very good i can say but pickup is not great but its good. It gives turbine like sound from engine which i like most.

#top speed- it has a good top speed of 80+( i checked on highway) for a 110cc scooter.

    # mileage- mileage is a plus point of this scooter , it gives more mileage than activa 125 bs4( my present scooter) i.E around 50-55 kmpl.

    # ride quality- ride is very good in this scooter, nice road grip on normal to sandy roads with a large wheel base, very stable even in top speed.

    # comfortable- according to my testing this not very comfortable for a long drive because the seat is very hard , but good for city rides.

    # pricing- the cost i have paid for maestro edge vx version was rs. 61000/(with all accessories and usb charging port) onroad ambikapur, chhattisgarh.

    # servicing & maintenance- service and maintenance cost is average around 300-500 rs. Not satisfied with servicing in showroom.

**now time for discuss some advantages & disadvantages:-

Advantages- 1. Nice edgy design and good looking

    2. Nice front suspension

    3. Mileage is good enough

    4. Informative digital console

    5. Nice grip on road with large wheel base ( compared to activa 125cc bs4)

    6. Less vibration

    7. Price is like awesome for this type of feature

Disadvantages- 1. Pickup is little lazy from 20-40kmph

    2. Not very comfortable

    3. May be front broad look

    4. As all ways rear suspension, it is hard

    5. Plastic body

    Lavish Chenani

1.Buying experience was ok. 2.Riding experience was not so good as the scooter vibrates a lot and headlamp bulb fault every month and the body quality is a bit annoying.3.Looks are good but performance is terrible mileage is just 30kmpl and the suspension is very poor.4.Engine is worst it produces much amount of heat much amount of noise and much amount of vibrations and 90% maestro of my city are bored with pistons as scooter after 3000 km the oil from the engine reduces just in 15 days and we have to get it bored with new piston.5.Pros : good looking External fuel filling Immobiliser. Cons: mileage Engine Heat Vibrations Body quality.

I bought this scooter year ago. This is best scooter for daily commuting. I have also been to igatpuri, lonavala n many more places which are 150-250km from mumbai. Best scooter to ride outstations. If you maintain your scooter with proper servicing then the performance will be great. I am very happy with performance. This scooter also includes good features like phone charging, pass lights which not available in previous model. I have also owned hero maestro 2013 model. Hero maestro edge is well improved and good featured.

I brought maestro edge 2 years ago. I ride this scooter 43000 kms. My own riding experience is this scooter is amazing it's throttle response is so attractive to youngsters. But some things are i dislike in this scooter is it's a high maintenance scooter too much problems face if you buy this scooter like starting problem, the big issue is so much vibration you will face when you ride in the little rough road. The mileage of this scooter is in city 42 to 45 or in highway 45 to 48 and average is 45.
