Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has announced the launch of the new Dio 125 in our market. This TVS Ntorq 125-rivalling scooter is available in two variants – standard and Smart – and seven colour options.
The mechanical specifications on the new Honda Dio 125 include an OBD2-compliant, 125cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine with eSP (Enhanced Smart Power). This motor also benefits from a Honda ACG starter, improvised tumble flow, friction reduction and improved combustion, and solenoid valves.
Meanwhile, the styling cues are similar to the 110cc model, and the new Dio 125 comes with an apron-mounted headlight and front turn indicators, a sharp design for the body panels, a split-style pillion grab-rail, and a dual outlet exhaust with a heat shield. The colour palette comprises seven options – Pearl Siren Blue, Pearl Deep Ground Grey, Pearl Night Star Black, Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Axis Grey Metallic, Matte Sangria Red Metallic, and Sports Red.
Both, the base and Smart variants get an LED headlight, idling stop system, side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor, integrated headlamp beam and passing switch, and a combined braking system. Then, the Smart Key variant further benefits from H-Smart technology that brings additional features such as smart find, keyless start, and security.
The shock absorption tasks on all variants are handled by telescopic front forks and a preload-adjustable single rear spring. Meanwhile, the braking setup on the base model includes drum brakes. The Smart variant, in comparison, benefits from a petal-type front disc brake and a drum setup at the back.
Notably, both variants of the Honda Dio 125 are available with a special 10-year warranty package (three years standard and seven years optional extension).

Don't go for its look

If you are reading this review please don't buy just because of its look. I own two scooters one is a Ntorq and another is this Dio 125 I bought it because of its looks and I thought I would get a better milage than my Ntorq which turned out to be the Ntorq is better and yes even I didn't believe it. Night visibility is zero like zero if you ride on highway but in the city and in the village you will not have that issue but highway zero you have to ride like a blind person and are not comfortable for long rides even if the ride is for like 40 to 50 km your back started hurting and the suspension hit like anything on highway small bumps.

Dio experience

Scootys have always amazed me specially Honda Dio. Looking at the features and specialities this bike offers, I decided to buy this vehicle last year. It was available for an affordable price in exchange for a lot of modern features. The mileage is good as provided, clean and good ground clearance and a powerful engine that it comes with. My favourite feature is the smooth and comfortable ventures with this vehicle. I would definitely put this on the recommendation list for others. The colour ranges are aesthetic and many sets of variants are also available. This is my dream Scooter

Pros: Powered by a 109cc engine it can reach speeds up to 80 kmph which is good enough for city rides. Being lightweight at just 99 kg means it is easy to manoeuvre and handle even in traffic. The engine also has a good pickup so you don't have to work too hard at the throttle.Cons: The major drawback is front suspensions which are very bad. The Honda Dio is a trusty little scooter that packs a decent punch.

Best 125 cc for younger looks

Handling is 5/5. Performance is adequate for 125. Riding is 5/5 for city rides. Looks 5/5 in the segment. Mileage is 53-54 in the city with a speed of 55-65. The only con is for smart variants as the emergency key lock opener is very poor quality and one can open and misuse this. Overall I say it's the smoothest among all the 125 cc scooters. I did a test ride of all the available 125cc scooters before selecting this. Finally Got this.

Honda Dio 125

I previously owned Dio 2013, which I used for my daily commute. Explored Ntorq, Avenis, Aprilia, and Aerox for my next buy. Ignored Ntorq XT as it has less mileage. Planned to buy the Suzuki Avenis as it had more features than the Honda Dio.Test drove Avenis and Dio. I found the Dio 125 engine more refined and smooth. Found some vibration in Avenis. Tried Avenis from a different showroom too, but it was still the same. Dio 125 with fewer cosmetic features like Bluetooth and navigation outshone other scooters in the same category with a better and well-refined engine. An absolute pleasure to zip through the streets with this scooter. Gives mileage of about 50kmpl. The engine is powerful and the pickup is great. Preferred Std version over H Smart version. Pearl Deep Ground Gray is just wow. Happy with the purchase and just love riding this scooter, absolute fun.

Crazy vehicle for youth's, engine refinement is smooth compared to other shooters. Visuals appeared of this scooter. It'll be helpful if they provide a side footrest. Maintenance is affordable, but fuel efficiency could be better. Overall, it's a competitive choice in the 125cc scooter segment. Overall I suggest that youngsters.
