  • Great choice just needs proper handling

    Sarvesh Mundada

Buying experience was great, i was confused between 2 scooties that were maestro edge and activa ... I made maestro as our choice over activa and i don't regret my decision. I bought it from pune. Maestro edge is really a great at beginning for few months. But after 7-8 months you'll notice that mileage has reduced and engine too makes weird noises if you're daily user. The comfort level of the vehicle is awesome. And very few vehicles can beat the looks of it. Comfort level is top and i don't think they could have done anything better than the current comfort experience. Maestro edge performance is really good. However you will notice some cons in performance after 7-8 months. Servicing provided by hero company is the best. You can send it for servicing in your nearest service station and servicing is really commendable. You feel like you're driving it for first time. But frankly speaking after few weeks you would realize that it is just as before. Overall the maestro edge has edge over most of the scooties out there but some cons too. You must handle it carefully else some parts become loose and sound annoying. But overall maestro edge is great choice if you are a frequent rider.

It doesn't matter how is your bike give mileage the matter is how is it comfort, it riding quality, its look.I bought my scooter less than six months and it is superb. It is hero maestro edge blue graphics one. It riding quality was awesome because it's handling and sitting position the scooter look good in graphics version it is also more great in matt blue version. The shock absorber is also good. Then coming quality of material, materials are made in fibre the fibre quality is not bad it is strong. Then come to tyre, it is mrf tubeless tyre its gripper is so much reliable and it is safer in rainy time. Its braking system too good. It gives more facilities as like as a charger point, a lot of space in the cabin and its external fuel tank and one point key lock, is superb, its highest speed about 80 km to 85 km.Then some to most vital topic fuel economy it gives 45kmpl to 55 kmpl as your driving condition.Servicing is too good as per i feel it had two servicing till now.

In my point of view, it is a good mechanic will let you watch without charging you for it.

  • An honest praise

    Santulan Mahanta

Nothing to say much about buying experience. Buying was easy, but registration through dealer in jorhat, assam was a bad experience for me. But i won't say that bad experience will happen to everyone.

Riding experience has been quite satisfactory. I have taken it to all kinds of roads. Usual daily odometer run is around 5km only, but in Sunday or in holiday i'd take it for a longer ride. Longest ride in a single day was 300km, without slightest complain. In long rides, if road conditions allow I've tested it at the top speed, 85kmph. But that gives a mileage around 30-35 kmpl only. Otherwise in economy speed range, i.E. 30-50kmph, it gives me 50kmpl. Considering traffic and poor road conditions, i am satisfied with that. As a scooter, it has great suspension system, robust body to withstand any kind of road, rocky bumpy terrain and wetland mud-tracks included. Engine retardation is quite smooth but effective, saves fuel as eliminates unnecessary wheel braking. Release the accelerator, instantaneously it slows down. Initial pick up is a bit slow, but once it reaches 30kmph, you can churn out extra power to gain instant speed. Upto 50kmph, you won't feel anything. But crossing that speed you'll feel the engine rev. But that's not an issue, it's just in the form of engine sound and nothing in balance. Mine one has factory fitted tvs tyres, but slight difficulty is there as these tyres are having very smooth slippery surface and prone to skidding. So for better all weather performance and better control i am thinking of replacing them.

It definitely looks good, each and every cut is distinct. Headlamp is a bit more distinctly larger than earlier maestro, tail lamp got more sharp and distinct look. The whole tail lamp and indicator lamps assembly is so beautifully crafted out that each component is distinguished and yet form the part of one assembly. The overall look is quite gorgeous and unlike some other competitors in market it doesn't look feather light. Even at 85, nothing can shake you.

Servicing experience has always been satisfactory. Minimal expense one can expect. So budget friendly in other words.

    Pros:

    Riding quality

    Engine performance

    Perfect balance

    Look of course

    Cons:

Not varieties of options available if you think of changing tyres.

My father bought this scooter from his friend for me around 5 months ago. I use this scooter for doing daily chores like going to market or going to tuition. I usually go for morning rides. It look good but lacks chrome work. It's in cherry red colour. It's not a very good ride because it lacks power but the seat is very comfortable. Mileage is also good.

  • You’d look sexier on a scooter

    B K Jyotiprakash

    Ashirwad Sharma

It is awesome, its smooth to ride ,less noise the looks are totally different compared to other non geared bikes you can easily ride it on speed of around 50-60 if you want to maintain it properly maestro edge is very good for boys it gives it a little bit sporty look seats are comfortable external petrol filling so you don't have to get down again and again on petrol pump. There is a point for charging your mobile..The lights are too good over and all its the best non geared bikes compared to the likes of dio, activa etc

I have purchased this bike before 1 year. No issues till the date and running smoothly. It was a good bike for men's and women's. Look wise its muscular and almost zero maintenance. Riding experience is awesome.

Pro- looks good, easy to drive. Good storage capacity.

    Tips for other riders

Use tubeless tyres, and if possible replace the factory fitted ones. That TVS set is very smooth and braking over slightly sandy surface may lead to major skidding. As replacement MRF Milaze range has suitable tyres for both front and rear wheels for instance.

    Akshat Gupta

My father bought this scooter from his friend for me around 5 months ago. I use this scooter for doing daily chores like going to market or going to tuition. I usually go for morning rides. It look good but lacks chrome work. It's in cherry red colour. It's not a very good ride because it lacks power but the seat is very comfortable. Mileage is also good.

performance is very poor as compared to other brand two wheeler like Suzuki Honda TVS Yamaha etc. full fiber body looks ok but not strong as Suzuki Access 125 with full metal body, people buying hero vehicles for good performance and mileage more than other brands but hero is not able to fulfill this after separate their company with Honda. many more issues in very short time like headlights issue back-light issue indicator issue horn issue meter light issue etc.
