Aggressively expanding its footprint across the county, DSK Hyosung has inaugurated a new showroom in Kochi. Called Kanif Motors, the showroom is located in Vanaja Aracade, Chuttupadukara, Edappally and is DSK Hyosung’s 41st dealership in India. 

Hyosung is planning to introduce a new 250cc motorcycle, christened EXIV R, in South Africa. Dealers in country have started accepting bookings for the EXIV R (X5R), and it is expected to be priced at AUD 44,900 (Rs 2.31 lakh).

DSK Motorwheels, a part of DS Kulkarni Group, is going to set up a new plant near Pune to assemble and manufacture motorcycles for Benelli and Hyosung. DSK Motorwheels will invest around Rs 400 crore in building the new plant which will boost the Pune-based company’s annual production capacity to 1,20,000 units. 

DSK Hyosung has inaugurated the first exclusive superbike showroom in Jodhpur. Called Aashiya Superbikes, the dealership is located at Industrial Estate, New Powerhouse Road and is the Korean manufacturer’s 40th dealership in the country. 

A few days ago, internet chatter suggested that Benelli was planning to mark its entry into the Indian market. Commencing operations in an extremely competitive market like Indiais a herculean task and reports suggested thatBenelli and DSK MotoWheels were working on a deal for launching their products here. It now seems that the report of the two companies have joined forces was accurate and the deal is expected to be officially announced on October 17. 

DSK Hyosung has inaugurated its first exclusive superbike showroom in Chandigarh. Called ‘Speed Superbikes’, the showroom is located in Plot No.182/84, Industrial Area, Phase 1 of the city. The showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Hyosung, and the space has in- house sales, service and spares facility. 

DSK Motowheels may get the Italian motorcycle manufacturer Benelli to India. This report has come from the Autocar India, who claims to have received this information from a source close to this deal. 

DSK Hyosung sold 375 units of the new GT 250 R and Aquila 250 in the July-August period this year. The company claims to have achieved a year-on-year growth of over 100 per cent in sales of motorcycles from the 250cc segment in the same period.

After having a good year, DSK Hyosung is aiming to double its overall motorcycle sales. The company sold 1,851 motorcycles last year and plans to sell around 3,000 units this year.

A group of design students from DSK International school design, the same company that sells the Hyosung motorcycles, has digitally rendered the ST7 Cruiser Concept which looks very mean.
