Here are some maintenance tips for the TVS Ronin: Regular Inspection: Conduct routine checks of the bike's fluid levels, including engine oil, coolant, and brake fluid. Ensure they are at the recommended levels and top up or replace as necessary. Chain Maintenance: Keep the chain properly lubricated and adjusted as per the manufacturer's recommendations. A well-maintained chain ensures smooth power transmission and prolongs the life of both the chain and sprockets. Tire Care: Check tire pressure regularly and maintain it at the recommended levels for optimal performance and safety. Inspect the tires for signs of wear and tear, and replace them if necessary. Also, ensure proper alignment for even tire wear. Brake System: Regularly inspect the brake pads for wear and replace them if they are worn out. Keep an eye on brake fluid levels and ensure the brakes are functioning properly for safe riding. Engine Maintenance: Follow the recommended service intervals for engine oil and filter changes. Use high-quality engine oil that meets the manufacturer's specifications to ensure optimal engine performance and longevity. Electrical System: Check the lights, indicators, and horn regularly to ensure they are functioning properly. Replace any faulty bulbs or fuses promptly. Cleanliness: Keep the bike clean by regularly washing it with mild soap and water. Pay special attention to areas prone to dirt buildup, such as the engine, chain, and wheels. Cleaning the bike not only keeps it looking good but also helps prevent corrosion. Storage: When storing the bike for an extended period, ensure it is parked in a dry, well-ventilated area, preferably indoors or under a cover. Consider using a trickle charger to maintain the battery's charge during storage. By following these maintenance tips, you can ensure that your TVS Ronin remains in top condition, providing you with a safe and enjoyable riding experience for years to come.

  • A real Samurai- perfect for beginners and city ride

It's a beautiful bike that is powerful, strong looking yet not intimidating. As a first-time rider, it's easy to handle, control, and ride. The gear switching is smooth, the braking is near perfect giving you great pleasure and experience.
As a beginner, I was simply confused between the Hunter and Ronin. Hunter is beautiful too, but the Ronin is a better one for beating the city traffic and occasional long drives.

  • TVS's unscripted?? Or TVS's cheapest scripted junk??

    Subrah Ghorai

1st test ride was 100 meters so I was dissatisfied and called the dealership of Tvs and took another test ride.
Purchase procedures were not hectic but there internal procedures of moving the documents for getting the bike registered were quite slow.
Coming to the review of the bike-
    Pros:
    1. Overall riding posture is quite good for both city rides and even longer rides.
    2. Handling of the bike is quite smooth and comfortable.
    3. ABS works very very good
    4. The stability of the bike at high speeds is very good.
    5. Engine quality till now felt good
    6. Mileage for a 225cc is approx 35kmpl which is decent
    7. Slipper clutch at this price range with a few other features like Bluetooth, USD forks, adjustable brake& clutch levers, etc are appreciable.
    Cons:
    1. Though overall riding posture is good the foot brake lever position is placed a bit inward which causes your knee pain after traveling in a high-traffic area where the use of brakes is heavy.
    2. Using too much clutch makes the engine hot very quickly.
    3. Random issues with the bike are very very frequent and very disturbing and for that you will have to spend extra time and money to get it fixed, however service centers of TVS make a decent effort to do the needful.
Issues I have faced are- Cracky noise in the chain which does not go away fully, Headlight turned blue and then replaced and then the new one stopped working totally, tappet sound also noticed, the front of the bike shaking too much while at smooth roads and rev is not as per the gear compression ratio (very sensitive gear compression ratio), Color of few parts easily come off, accessories like charger sold by TVS are not reliable, gear sensor stops working, DTE (reading of distance to empty) does not work properly.
    4. Rear brakes are not up to the mark based on the power, torque, and capacity of the bike.
    5. The bike engine cuts off unusually sometimes.
Overall the cons win over the pros if you look for a new bike without much hassle.
Hence I would recommend not going for this one as it will upset you easily.

  • Good Mileage

    Sukumar Radrapu

Decent bike in this segment. Very good mileage of 52kmpl during my first long drive of 400km. In my second long drive, I got 55kmpl for a round trip of 600 km. Decent driving comfort also. Overall a good feeling to have this bike.
Service support needs to be improved as all service centers do not have Ronin Servicing right now.

  • A tamed beast- t-rex

    Amit Upadhyaya

    1) buying experience(6/10) - I bought it in kolkata and the sales team were very active to pitch the product. However, I felt that post the payment they all left me alone to navigate and get the delivery of my bike. I am used to seeing big key handovers for bikes and all on Instagram and Facebook and however, nothing happened with me and I felt a little bit disappointed. Maybe it happened in that particular showroom of tvs and when asked how much petrol is there in the tank they mentioned sufficient enough to reach the nearest petrol pump and I was surprised as for a fuel injection machine a minimum of 3 liters needs to be in the tank and when asked for it they said: "petrol bahot mehenga hai" . So overall the room experience could have been better.
    2) riding experience (8/10):- my t-rex is very comfortable to ride with beautiful ergonomics and comfort at every rev. The shocker absorbs most of the bumps. However, if you are looking for excitement then the ronin is not for you. The Rev doesn't feel powerful the one you can feel on maybe honda cb300f (same price). It sure catches the eyes here and there. I am loving the experience as I am a little bit of a boring kinda person who doesn't want high speeds. The highway experience was good either. Ronin can cruise comfortably at 80-85 kmph , anything above 90 gives a little bit tough time to the engine -7/10. City drives cannot be more comfortable - 10/10 on this. Rain is a little bit of pain in the back, like literally as the is a lot of mud bounces from the back and it would ruin the back of the pillion or rider. Tried finding a proper tire hugger but the position of the rear mudguard is very awkward to place any tire hugger.
3 details about looks, performance, etc(8/10)- ronin's looks are very subjective, so I am giving just my opinion - I find it very handsome and dashing - the grey color looks fabulous on the beast and everything clicks -the front is work of marvel. It's beautiful and sexy to look at.
Performance is quite good as well as expected the square engine produces distributed power at every gear quite nicely and you don't feel under-powered at any gear, even the fifth. The torque and power may look less as compared to any other 200+ cc bike but to be very honest it was designed like this itself. Bluetooth connection is poorly made - just plain stupid - dte is inconsistent even if you are a consistent rider with 4000rpm and maintaining below 55kmph. Mileage ranged from 36-40 (36,40,38 before the first service and 38 after the first service). No engine heating issues were found. After the first service top speed was achieved with the pillion 115 kmph.
    4) service and maintenance(na) -service was quite fast and not sure what they did. Surely changed the air filter and mobil however I noticed they did not was my bike. Maybe I kept it clean that's why.
    5)pros -
    A) looks are beautiful
B)seats are very comfortable for the rider
    C)shock absorbers are very good.
    D)high beam very good.
    E)engine is very smooth.
    F) front abs work amazingly.
    Cons-
A)badly made right mirror which is just poorly designed.
B)low beam light is not sufficient at all.
    C) mudguard is ineffective and spills water.
    D) training not given on new bike ronin to the engineers in the workshop.
    E)bad sales team.
    F) disc plates are cheap quality,
    G)rear brakes are just bad.
Overall take your decision by yourself, I love the bike and plan to stick to it till T-rex doesn't give up my overall rating is 8/10. What about you?

  • Unscripted but....!

    Shyam

    Disclaimer: Lengthy review
My priorities (before getting the Ronin) were.
    Honda CB350
    TVS ronin
    Hunter 350
I am a beginner rider, I am a five feet and eleven inches tall guy, I thought to go for these three as
*Honda engine is something you can close your eyes and invest in & the fit and finish is too impeccable and
    * Second TVS, I believe they are genius (after Honda) when you compare the Engine refinement and reliability and then
    * Royal Enfield J-series platform with the 181Kg hunter is something I tried at first, but I find a bit confident less when I ride on speed breakers and more over the machine is something that I couldn't define itself to me (about its nature), hence hunter was my third priority.
Since due to some constraints (beginner rider, cost, etc.), I preferred Ronin over others, if not, you could have seen my review on the CB350 page for sure.
RONIN: I don't go deep into technicalities as you can see on the page itself, I write something that I felt!
This is a serious cult with a better reliable engine and smooth as butter. It's just like having "ragi malt with onions", the gear shift is just like the crispiness of onion, and engine smoothness is just as smooth as the Ragi Malt, I couldn't get a better example than this. Just imagine how this combo works, the same way the Ronin works too.
But, on the other side, manufacturing defects! on the first service, need to get rid of this! my bike it's turn indicator button problem, a fuel gauge sensor, and Bluetooth pairing issues.
The buying experience is good. salespersons are quite efficient and kind. Such small gestures from them are pleasing to see.
The riding experience is just like butter, smooth clutch action with a "springy" response and the engine makes me believe that it is good to handle different conditions.
Visual is good as a cruiser (from the front) and scrambler on the rear side.
    My best suggestion is that,
when planning on long rides, take out the stock mirrors, use bar end round mirrors or round mirrors on the handlebars,
This mirror is something TVS needs to check on! visually it look's "odd/awkward"(subjective from person to person)!!... when disclosing it as a cruiser, it should have cruiser elements from the front, at the least!

This machine is beautiful. to ride treat it like a brother, not just a machine, i believe it gives you more fun that you expect! Before first service, just ride it peacefully for less that 60Kmph any roads because, at higher speeds you may not notice the defect, but you will look into defects when you ride slowly, I have found such defects in mine too. On the other side, check always for Tank-to-tank mileage, this is the best way to check for mileage. Ride 45-60Kmph for better mileage. Service the vehicle as per schedule, where the mileage may increase by 2-5 km/per liter after every service, so overall, you may get around 45-55Kmpl or more/less, after completion of all services. Note: Mileage variation on any services depend on the many factors, check those.

1 was the 1st person who booked the top variant (Dawn Orange) in my district. It was love at first sight for the bike. My buying experience was average at the TVS-authorized showroom.
The bike riding experience is too good & smooth.
Most people get attracted by the bike's appearance and keep asking me about it.
Luckily the service center is nearby which makes it more convenient for the servicing & technical assistance. People are helpful there.
Pros: Look, Performance, Comfortable, Easy to Handle.
Cons: Little Chain Noise, Bike Seat is Not Waterproof, Plastic/Fiber Quality.

    Aniruddha Thombare

It's a beautiful bike that is powerful, strong looking yet not intimidating. As a first-time rider, it's easy to handle, control, and ride. The gear switching is smooth, the braking is near perfect giving you great pleasure and experience.
As a beginner, I was simply confused between the Hunter and Ronin. Hunter is beautiful too, but the Ronin is a better one for beating the city traffic and occasional long drives.

    Tips for other riders

    Aniruddha Thombare

It's a beautiful bike that is powerful, strong looking yet not intimidating. As a first-time rider, it's easy to handle, control, and ride. The gear switching is smooth, the braking is near perfect giving you great pleasure and experience.
As a beginner, I was simply confused between the Hunter and Ronin. Hunter is beautiful too, but the Ronin is a better one for beating the city traffic and occasional long drives.
