I bought yamaha r15 v3.0, months after it was launched, as i was eagerly waiting for the launch. That sleek and sexy design, a to-go sports feels, and a brand of yamaha attracted me quite well. Yzf r15 v 3.0 is a simple and affordable version of yamaha r1(no offence, just the looks i m talking about) now giving you a brief of pros and cons,Well,Pros:-1. Sporty and modern design 2. Bike equilibrium well maintained 3. An affordable to-go bike 4. Top speed 134kmph (i witnessed)5. Bike-road griping maintained well 6. Great mileage (in city : 45-50kmpl ;In highway : 48-53kmpl)Cons:-1. Not good for long tours, as i am a great fan of bike tours, so me and my friend decided to take a bike ride from kolkata to ranchi, and this bike isn't comfortable enough to give you immunity to ride, also after riding for 300km continuously, the handle starts vibrating and that causes fatigue and pain.2. When you try to turn your bike, you need more space to turn, handles not turn as other Indian bikes. If you are planning to buy a bike under 2 lakhs segment, i would recommend go for it, if you don't go on tours or something, it's kinda in genre of superbikes, not fully i will add but yeah it kinda give a good challenge to other bikes present. It's a good bike, servicing is easy, you need to focus on bike chain lubes, and breaking factors, other things can be easily bearable. Just if you have planned, i would say go for it, its a thumbs up from my side.Cheers to the biker family!

The buying experience is good like other purchases and the riding experience is too good because of most beautiful bike with more power and performance. The look is best and inspired for r1 and r6 and performance is good in segment . Servicing is also good but costly. Yamaha biker are better in mileage and maintenance. And give good performance. The pros are 1) gorgeous look in segment 2) better performance 3) digital unit 4) better engine with new vva technology 5) good price the cons are 1) not offering abs.

First off all buying this beast was a very great thing. This bike is the most affordable bike under this price and specifications as compared relatively. It's low to top end is awesome. The engine is too refined. But is causes a little vibrations. This beast is designed as sharp as as a shark the most affordable bike with great sporty look which is great and worth for money. Keeping this cause low service and maintenance but to keep this as smooth as a new one we should provide a little service which doesn't costs much. This bike is totally a beat in every section . The only cons for this bike is that it's build quality is of little low quality. But again i tell you it a best and will never disappointed it's ride. Basically it is not a machine it is love.

Previous to buying r15 v3, i was riding pulsar 150 for more than 3 years. That bike is also a bang for the money but i always knew and dream that my next bike would be r15. Last year i cleared neet with flying colors and now i'm in a reputed govt medical college. My dad had already promised me to buy r15 once i get selected in neet. So the day came 5th of july 2019, we visited a yamaha showroom. Didn't wasted a sec, and booked the red one. We went there at 1 in noon, and left with the new bike in evening. My father tried a ride and gave me a look that gave me laughter even now. He was like... How can someone ride a bike like this all day,,, back-pain and all.... Bt i told him that after spending some time on it...It gets accustomed and exciting... This bike is a complete monster... Believe me guys.... The pickup and top speed is unmatchable in 150 cc capacity. Done my first servicing at 750 kms, it was the basic procedure. Changing oils, filters, flushing, chain cleaning and washing. Yamalube sporty premium is a overall a good engine oil for its price, i didn't have any complain with that. I took my bike and went on the highway, just to enjoy the higher speed thrill it can give you. I clocked 130+ speed many times, effortlessly. Speeding up more was even possible but, i can't ignore incoming traffic. After all life matters most. I have done my second servicing after 3500 kms, and this time i told service center guy to put yamaha rs4gp engine oil.... Guys it cost me 1300 . But it's worth every penny, change was immediately noticed. Engine was more grunting, gear shifts is more effortless. Now the bike runs like butter smooth. I will list the pros and cons of this bike below... It will help you guys to understand the realistic nature of this bike. After 6000 km and a year time, these are the pros and cons. Pros-1-best handling bike2-zero vibration even at redline.... I means even the rear view mirror will not vibrate at redline 3-engine is very comfortable at 90-100 kmph range that is u can ride this bike on highway all day long. 4- rpm at 100 kmph is about 6900 rpm.... So vva will not activate, so you don't have to worry about the mileage and engine stress. 5-suspension is best in the class... U won't be drifted away by sudden potholes and cracks.... Bike stabilizes itself. 6-abs is a must have feature.... I think every bike should have it.... The best part... It has got dual channel abs.... Which works seamlessly without failed a single time in a year. It will really save your life. 7-average/mileage .... I mean a 150 cc bike generating 19 hp and managing to clock 140 + top speed and an effortless high speed highway rides.... Having a compression ratio of 11.6:1....But eurekaIt is still managing to give average in between 40-45 kmpl.... I mean it's a magic. Hats off to yamaha.... Who has made this machine. 8-look...For me it's the best looking bike on the table.... And you will feel it's presence once on the road... All eyes will be on you. 9- tyre -rear is 140/70 radial soft tyres.... Grip is very good and gives you confident all the time. 10- dashboard is very sharp looking and bright... Gives you almost every detail you will want to know. It's quite bigger lcd compared to other bikes. 11- price can feel costly who haven't got taste of this bike. But it is worth every single penny. Now i would like to mention some real cons which i think should be done better by yamaha. Cons-1-seating stance.... It is difficult to ride this bike continuously for 2-3 hours. Neck region and wrist will start paining after 100 kms. But the ride quality and destination thrill will motivate you to ignore the pain and keep riding it. But still it is factor, for those who do lot of long rides. 2-headlight- well they look very beautiful but are not effective in dark.... Range is too low u can't see 60-70 mtrs ahead in night.... So it should be improved by yamaha. 3- maintenance cost.... Is little on the higher side coz i put synthetic oil in it which alone cost me 1300 rupees and other thing put the servicing cost at around 1800 inr. Overall... It is the best bike... It can't be compared with bajaj tvs etc...Their engines can't match this machine. So go on... And ride your dream bike and write a review of what you feel.

The moment you are ride this bike all the cons would get negligible for you. This bike gives a kike while riding which i don't think even higher cc bikes could offer , the bike cost more than 1.5 lakh but believe me its truly worth it ,the engine is smooth as hell it seems the more you push the bike to its limit ,the more its limit increases. The riding experience will give you the feeling of higher sporty bike . The only place where r15 sets back is i think the riding position its very committed and you need to sit in a specific way to enjoy riding for long period of time but believe me for short rides it is going to be awesome. Shorter riders may have issue with sit height . The bike is superb no doubt but i think thinks could be better like the seat height ,pillion seat , quality of plastics .This all get aside when you get it riding. The bike gives a mileage somewhere between 40 to 45 kmpl and is good in the range of this bike.

Riders, i love this bike so much. I had three trips (rt-500kms) where i had an absolute thrilling experience on yamuna expressway. I heard & read the back pain & shoulder pain but in my case with good & comfortable racing posture will clear all these issues. But i'm looking for help regarding vibration while downshifting the gears, do i need to check with chain sprocket? clutch housing? engine flash? Looking for active suggestions.
