The Continental GT 650's design pays homage to the café racer culture of the 1960s, featuring a classic teardrop fuel tank, low-slung handlebars, and a single-seat setup. The engine's smooth delivery is complemented by the refined 6-speed gearbox, making gear transitions seamless and enjoyable. It surprisingly offers a comfortable riding position for extended journeys. The seat is well-padded, and the ergonomics strike a balance between sportiness and long-distance comfort.

  • Overall experience on GT 650

    Paramesh Reddy

I have owned continental GT 650 bike in 2019 , October and the mileage depends on how you ride, the max mileage i got in city is 24, and the power is awesome. The only problem is that it is not comfortable for long rides due to its driving position, although it looks better than interceptor. But I recommend interceptor for long rides.

According to the price royal enfield is providing the most affordable 650cc bikes under 4 lakhs which sure no other company gives and also with a huge cc engine it also provides a very impressive no of bhp and torque also I would like to add that this bike has its own royalty and style and when this bike comes in comparison with others it always proves us to be a proud owner of it. This bike is the king of roads and for boys like us royal enfield brand and more over gt 650 is above everything and everyone we just love it more than anything. Gt 650 mr clean when passed by someone always took their breath away. Gt 650 is love I can spend my whole life with it. It helps me to overcome my stress when ever I ride my gt I make me remember that I am not alone. She is not a bike she is my love. Thank you the proudest owner of royal enfield and talk about the pros and cons I have already talked about the pros now cons first of all this is not tubeless and the parts are also expensive to accessories that's it and I felt that not making any issues to me once you ride it u will feel it and talk about the milage i'm getting 22 to 26 in city traffic and 28 to 30 in highway in speed of 100 to 120 thank you

Unique cafe rider bike and mainly chrome Mr. Clean looks unique on the roads and Power is an amazing and affordable 650cc bike in India that must be only gt650. The exhaust note sound is very nice and it makes me ride my bike often and more importantly, good service is done in Royal Enfield. I prefer gt 650 over a Kawasaki because the service cost will be higher as i had a Kawasaki z250

  • Retro charm

    Aditya Dhanraj Phukan

First of all i would like to mention that if you are someone from 90s then you would definitely like the retro charm of this bike it's not a bike but a piece of beauty from the late 90s but with a bit of modern touch. As for the details the bike has a nice roar in its stock exhaust which is sufficient with the bike's persona. As for the performance it gives the best output and feels like it will go for more when you put throttle to max, but the best part is that it's for the ones who wanna enjoy the ride as it's braking ,power are at the best as for the brakes they are tuned with bosch abs system which is best of a kind. The best part is the custom parts as most of the people are not satisfied with a stock bike so re is offering customization for the gt as well as the interceptor and people don't have to depend on aftermarket accessories anymore.Being a 650cc it's maintenance is very reasonable and not that costly which the imported bikes charges. As for the ridding experience it's for the ones who wanna feel the ride and even though it's a cafe racer you won't have any back issues which is a problem with other sports bike if you want to use it for daily purpose then also you won't be having any trouble because the engine is so refined that it doesn't feels like you are riding a 200 kg bike but the only trouble is with the tube tyre if you have a sudden puncture but if you think about that then there was a time when tubeless tyres were not available so it's not a bit deal after all. And you get a centre stand as optional in accessories . Overall if you are someone who wants power with a retro looks and want to have a memory of a lifetime the it's a great deal because this bike will be with you in your old days as well cause it's all metal with little plastic only thing is that if you maintain it properly it will have the showroom looks and the colour will not fade which is a problem with plastic . Everything is upto the mark with this machine only thing is that you care for it and it will never put you down

    Rohith

The buying experience was really easy as there were no much options available for the bike, I brought the clean color and believe me its the best color a bike can get. Riding experience is fine but the position need to be somewhat difficult for a 5'8 feet guy to ride, the amount of power it gives when you ride is unexplainable, coming to looks its not upto the mark, but believe me this engine is a beast, no other engine in this range is refined as much as engine is refined. Don't expect much for the maintenance and service as you have the higher quality the higher the charges, the service is somewhat on the costlier side, maintenance is ok my bike is giving around 18 km/l which is good for a 650cc beast.

Good bike and it’s a value for a price, you won’t get any other 650 parallel twin-cylinder cafe racer bike one negative thing about this bike is the fuel gauge doesn’t work properly it shows an inaccurate fuel indicator, gt is a cafe racer segment bike and never compare other segments bike with this bike. In the initial days, you will feel the heat from the engine but later after 1st service you won’t much heat, in city rides, you will feel the heat but on the highway, you won’t feel the heat. The braking system is good in gt. While you riding at 6000 rpm you will feel like you are flying with wings in the air. Overall nice bike but need to improve in electronics

  • A wonderful machine

    Gaurav

My buying experience was not very exciting as a waiting period of more than 6 months and also could not deliver with all accessories as ordered.
But my riding experience is very good. I have been touring (600+ km a day) for 3 years and had issue only with punctures. Till now no technical/mechanical issue faced with the bike. On highways, it sticks to the road and completes the balance.
The only challenge you may face is with riding posture, which I get adjusted after a few rides. The other minor issue is with headlights, which are not very effective.

It's just a monster when comes to the performance..yes the 390 is just a little better in initial pull but once u up the 3rd gear then there's no catching this bike..I personally ride it almost 130-150 kms a day and I'm used to its riding position, so I don't find it difficult..the road presence is just marvelous. I'll definitely give it a 10/10.

Maintaining gt is also not as expensive as you read on the net... Every 5k kms you should get a service done which will cost u around 3.5-5k depending upon what are the things to be done.

My buying experience was not very exciting as a waiting period of more than 6 months and also could not deliver with all accessories as ordered.
But my riding experience is very good. I have been touring (600+ km a day) for 3 years and had issue only with punctures. Till now no technical/mechanical issue faced with the bike. On highways, it sticks to the road and completes the balance.
The only challenge you may face is with riding posture, which I get adjusted after a few rides. The other minor issue is with headlights, which are not very effective.
