I purchased grazia in february 2018. From kanchana honda mangaluru. Buying experience was bad as i waited for 2 months still didn't got disc model so settled for drum brakes model. It has got serious starting problem and engine is not refined until 2 kms is completed daily. Second service is done but no improvement. At first i thought it's the service center guys who knows nothing but then i came to know all grazia have these problems. Cons Bad suspension. It never starts without choke Not refined until engine gets warm up.(i really made a mistake by choosing this.Go for activa 5g or whatever.)Poor top end speed.Clattering sound ( rectified )Pros Good digital odo and accurate fuel gauge Gorgeous grazia Nice pickup, powerful low and mid range.Low seat height.Good exhaust note. The above-mentioned pros can be seen in many two wheelers but grazia comes with bulk load of problems. Some admit it and some weep behind clown face.

    1. Buying experience Was not so good as i bought it from a private dealer and advise to always buy from authorized dealers on a negotiated price.2.Riding experience I bought this scooty in feb month of 2018 year. Initially the pickup and riding experience was pretty smooth and nice. Gradually the pickup is decreased/engine sound increased and it is not at expected levels now after running it for around 11500kms. Good thing about this scooty is it does not shake even if you are at a speed of 90-95 kmph. I did not face any engine starting issue as reported by many. Suspension is way too bumpy and throws off a rider/pillion which is not a good sign.Foot rest position for a pillion is not designed to be comfort. One has to remove feet from footrest in traffic otherwise rider's feet collides with pillion. Tail gabrail should have been of what old activa model provides as it is more protective during pickup.3. Details about looks, performance etc. I give 5/5 to looks. Scooty is stylish and modern. I still feel very competitive and new to ride it in town. Overall performance is good but the mileage is very less than what i expected and company claimed. I only get 35 kmpl in town riding which is very less considering 125cc engine.4. Servicing and maintenance. After 2nd servicing, choke cable broke down and petrol used to get wasted inside even if the choke is pulled off. Servicing mechanic told that this is something new to face and eventually replaced the cable to resolve it. Apart from that did not face any issue. Timely maintenance is must to achieve or maintain smooth riding experiences.5. Pros and cons. Pros:Great in looks and style.Brand value. Latest features like led lights, completely new speedometer which works and displays good even in sunlight and charging facility. Power packed variant with 125cc engine.Cons:Less on-road-mileage. Bumpy suspension.

  • Better ride

    Mayank Sinha

It feels to be good. While riding it had a greater experience of riding. The new honda grazia shares its underpinnings with the activa 125 but the scooter has received substantial upgrades in appearance. First and foremost, the all-metal body has been swapped for a plastic one. This has made way for a more stylish looking scooter while weighing about a kilo lighter at 107 kg. The grazia gets angular lines and the front apron is likeable with the wide new headlamp. In fact, the headlamp design seems to have taken inspiration from the 2017 honda cbr1000rr fireblade. There's a subtle hint and the unit gets a complete led setup, a first for any scooter in India. The front nose is sharper and gets black and brushed silver plastic inserts to break the monotony. The grazia is offered in six bright metallic colours that look trendy. The side panels show off a sharp design with the upward lines offering a sporty appeal. The carbon-fibre-like plastic inserts add a nice touch without looking tacky. Another interesting addition is that of the honda decal just below the foot-board. That's a first for any honda scooter in India and was in fact, added after being an increasingly common aftermarket accessory on its scooters. Also new are the black finished alloy wheels, which carry the same design as the activa 125, but look so much better. You also know this honda is premium thanks to the 3d finished grazia moniker while the absence of a key slot for the seat lends a neat look to the scooter (more on that later). The rear comes together well on the grazia but unlike the headlamp; the taillights use conventional bulbs. Overall, the design is likeable and also manages to remain different from the rest of the offerings in this space. You could also call it an older sibling to the sporty looking dio scooter from honda's stable. The honda grazia shares a tonne of components with the activa 125; so don't be surprised to see the same foot pegs, switchgear, and even the rear view mirrors on either model. The fuel tank capacity is also the same at 5.3 litres. The digital instrument console though is the big change on the grazia. The unit includes a digital tachometer; the only scooter to boast of the same in the country while a separate digital display packs the trip meter, clock, odometer and fuel gauge. While the unit is easy to read even during the day, it is not exactly in your field of vision. Another interesting addition is that of the new eco speed indicator. This is an evolution of the eco-meter or eco-light that we are used to seeing on most commuter offerings. The unit has three green indicators that will light up in succession between speeds of 30 to 50 kmph. Honda says you need to ride the scooter for over 2.16 seconds at a constant speed for all lights to turn green, which is intended to help achieve higher fuel efficiency. There's a new 4-in-1 ignition that includes the seat lock switch, which is why the key slot has been given a miss on the side panel. The switch can be accessed using the button near the ignition, which provides access to 18 litres of storage space. While the boot is big enough for groceries and a small bag, it can't fit a full sized helmet. Another addition is that of the smartphone storage space within the front apron that also includes a mobile charging socket. A thoughtful feature, the storage box is deep enough to accommodate the largest of phones, but we think it's a big miss that the charging socket itself is optional even on the range-topping variant. The honda activa 125 always had a highly delectable engine and the unit continues to impress on the grazia as well. The 124.9 cc single-cylinder motor is air-cooled and churns out the same 8.5 bhp at 6500 rpm, while producing 10.5 nm of peak torque at 5000 rpm. The unit comes paired with a cvt system, common on most scooters to enable clutch-less shifts. Hit the electric start button on the grazia and the extremely refined nature of the engine is immediately apparent. The motor is in its element for low to mid range power and is easily one of the quickest scooters off the line. While being one kg lighter doesn't make a world of a difference, the grazia does feel peppier too. Power delivery is smooth through the rev range and you can barely feel vibrations catching up even higher in the power band. You could cruise at 70 kmph at around 6500 rpm all day with enough juice for more, and the engine just won't break sweat. The company claims a top speed of 85 kmph, which is 1 kmph higher than the activa 125, and you can easily hit 80 kmph with only a strong hummm from the engine. While honda has positioned the grazia as an urban scooter, it is capable of handling highway runs with ease. Honda scooters are known to be fuel efficient and while we weren't able to test grazia's fuel efficiency in our short ride, it is expected to offer a healthy mileage at an average of 50 kmpl. The ergonomics are on point too on the honda grazia. With a seat height of 766 mm, the scooter is just about accessible for all without getting too uncomfortable for tall riders. The floorboard is flat and wide, and the handlebar conveniently falls into your arms way. The seat is well cushioned while remaining long and wide enough to accommodate the rider and pillion with ease. The grazia uses telescopic front forks that offer up to 80 mm of travel and a single shock absorber at the rear. The suspension setup is fantastic and negotiates bad roads with ease while offering a plush ride quality. The ride isn't bouncy either, which is a big plus. The top-end honda grazia gets a front disc brake as standard. It's a nissin sourced unit with a 190 mm single front disc and a 130 mm drum brake at the rear. The lower variants get 130 mm drum brakes at both ends. Braking performance is simply brilliant on the grazia and the disc brake certainly makes for superlative stopping power. The front unit has a sense of urgency and a strong bite, while honda's combi braking system (cbs) uses both brakes seamlessly to offer effective control. Also helping the cause are the 12-inch (front) and 10-inch (rear) tubeless tyres from mrf that are confidence inspiring.

    And why should i buy?

The 125 cc scooter segment is a niche in itself and contributes only nine per cent to the total Indian scooter space. The honda grazia then is an interesting addition to a segment with limited options. The honda scooter locks horns against activa 125, suzuki access 125 and the vespa 125. While the access and vespa are more retro-styled offerings and the activa a tad bit conservative, the grazia manages to stand out as a sporty alternative. That said, the scooter also commands a premium in terms of pricing and is marginally more expensive than the activa and access, and is priced between ? 57,897 and ? 62,269 (ex-showroom, delhi) for the deluxe version. As an offering for city commuters, the scooter ticks all the right boxes with respect to convenience including a smartphone slot, digital display and sporty looks. The company will be commencing sales with 35 cities across the country and while it may not be the next activa in terms of sales, it has the goods to make it big on its own. If you are looking for a compelling 125 cc scooter and can live without a metal body, the honda grazia is a lucrative buy in the segment.

  • Good scooter but premium price doesn't justify the build quality

    Raxit

    1. Buying experience was terrible as honda showrooms are always busy, they don't care or show any courtesy to customers. I was told that i will have to compulsory purchase a 3rd-year warranty if i want to purchase a scooter. So went to a different dealer where i was treated much better.

    2. Scooter suspension and the seat is very comfortable. Runs smooth although power and pick up is slower in comparison to access 125.

    3. It looks good and has good colour combinations. It has activa 125 engine so not any issues, it's good not the best. Mileage is still tricky. For the first 70km, after getting a tank full, one point from a total of 7 fuel level bar indicator dropped, so felt good! but from 70km to 175km, it lost all and display started blinking as a reminder to fill up the tank. So, i got an average of 175km from a first tank full i say, although i didn't completely run out of fuel, so can say approximately 37-40km mileage per liter, which i hope gets improved over the time else no point of purchasing it.

    4. No experience yet, but seeing the line of scooters and bikes at the service section, i don't think they will have time to pay proper attention to the vehicles being serviced.

    5. Pros -

    - looks good, good colour scheme, probably best-looking scooter under 70k, an engine is smooth, full digital console / meter

    cons -

    - led light is good, better than other scooters but still spread needs to be more linear and brighter as this is one of the premium features of the scooter, it needs to be better to justify the cost. Cellphone charging port should be there as a standard feature for the price they charge. Cover of the cell phone charging port box is as flimsy and cheap as it can be. You may actually succeed tearing it apart with your two hands, that's how terrible quality it's made of! its body is all fiber and plastic, and unfortunately front panels are not fitted tightly, they have gaps and also easily flexes with little pressure. But, plastic border below the taillight is too soft and again not tightly fitted, you can push and bend it with a pinky finger!

In short, good scooter, but build quality and finishing is not good at all to justify the premium price tag. Activa actually has better build quality which costs near 10k less!

  • Honda grazia - spoilt brat with cool looks

    Vimal Michael

Starting with the buying experience was hassle free. Riding exp - when you ride the bike, its vibrate very much kinda give you vibrating massage to you hands. Also the mileage is 40-45 kpl, if and only if you ride at a speed of 30-50 kpm. Going beyond 50 kpm the mileage drop tremendously. If you ride at 60 - 65 kpm the mileage will be less than 10 kpl. When i told this to honda service people, they asked me to drive between 30-50 kmp, like it was solution. You need to start the bike with choke always as it won't start, "that's how bs4 engine bikes are" commented and argued by servicing guys.If you are going by looks yes, honda grazia is the bike for you. If you looking performance wise - a big nope Pros: - just that the bike got looks, can't argue with that Cons:- poor mileage if you drive beyond 50 kmp- use of choke is mandatory to start the bs4 engine- bike vibrates not on high speed but on low speed (massage free with the bike)- daytime use bike. Light not bright to view the streets at night. - along with the bike you will also get servicing guys who will argue that you should drive in economy mode (30-50 kmp) to get the company promised mileage, vibration free and good performance.

  • Visual treat with average performance

    Sagar Manthen

  • Visual treat with average performance

    Sagar Manthen

Honda 125cc grazia ride is very comfortable better than other scooter.. His power and his mileage so nice.... If you want to smooth ride please go with economy ... And his break to good. Honda grazia looks so amazing .. And i want to give 4 star his look .. And ridding experience is nice .. But i am not satisfied with it's plastic body...
