No complaints yet. I have rode this bike for almost 10500 kms. Mileage is around 55 to 60 km/liter. I feeling like gliding when i ride this bike. No jerking. I wanted to buy my first bike. I was a 125 cc scooter user, so wanted a better cc bike. I had options of gixxer, apache, hornet and unicorn 160. I took a test drive of all the three, and finalized unicorn 160 cbs.

    The performance

The performance from engine is good. Throttle response is good, and you wont find it dull, even riding on open city roads. Even in stop and go traffic, the bike feels nice and quick to move. It quickly reaches to 70s and being a cbs version, braking is absolute perfect. While riding in city, you never feel the bike is out of control.

But, when it comes to highways rides, the story is not that sweet. Though the speed reaches triple digits and stays for long time, you tend to get lot of turbulence. The handle bar get vibrations. Wind turbulence is massive. Leads to lose the confidence over the bike. A light-weight is a disadvantage here. Tyres are thinner to give required stability to bike for triple digit ride. In the end, you are forced to reduce it to 90s. Its not a fault of engine. Engine is capable, but other components don't co-operate.

    Comfort

The best part is mono-suspension. It literally absorb the bumps and wont let you feel them. It keeps the ride handling extremely comfortable.

When it comes to sitting, i would be unsatisfied about it. I feel the cushion could be more comfortable. A little lengthy ride will give your bum good amount of soar. Though i am a healthy person having triple digit weigh, i found other bike seats more comfortable than this one.

Else, ride position is good. Thought it looks bit aggressive, its totally comfortable, and you never feel the weight is on your shoulder.

    Economy

Honda claims it to be 62 kmpl economy for this. But, i experienced between 45-49. And i am happy about it. On highways, it gives around 52-55. But, again, it all depends upon your driving style.

    Overall:

Perfect city bike. Cbs and mono suspension are best features offered by bike. Its a bit costly for what it offers.

If you are strictly city commuter, then go for this one. But if you enjoy some highway rides too, then consider its sibling, cb hornet.

Honda unicorn 160 CBS is not a complete bike in this price range. It gives me only less than 40 kmpl mileage even after riding in 40-50km/hr in good road. I used it for 15 months. Gear shifting issue is also a big problem. After achieving the speed greater than 90 km/hr, byke started to vibrated and the engine sounds very badly. Over all, I am not recommending this bike to a new buyer.

Its given me a classic sporty looks, also a good mileage as compared to other 160/150 cc bikes. I am very much comfortable while riding (my riding range 55 - 82km/hr). Its sleek design gives a healthy looks and perfection. Always gives perfect ground clearance. No vibration up to 107km/hr(that was my top speed). Also the maintenance is very much economy as compared to other bikes in same configurations. My review is after riding 14000km. So i am strongly recommending this bike. I am giving full mark

I have bought honda cb unicorn 160 on February 2016 from shiva wheels. During buying process the showroom persons were really helpful to give me an estimate ,so that i could get a loan from a nationalised bank. The process was really easy for me on 10th of February 2017. Now i come to the riding experience which is more important to all of you people who are reading this. Obviously first 1000 km i really ride with a safe speed that is max 60 km/hr. During that period i faced a problem that is my bike suddenly got stop and i really faced problem to start it again. But the issue was resolved by the service centre of shiva wheels. After that till date i did not face any problem about my bike. Till date i have ridden the bike for almost 21000 km and faced not not a single problem. Any one can see the features of this bike on the site of honda bikes and scooters. So i am not elaborating my review to give that again. Till date my ride is very very smooth. It is giving me an average economy of 50 km/litter in busy city like kolkata and on the high way i an getting easily 55 km/litter. That is quite satisfactory for me for a 160 cc bike. Having cbs(combi brake system) in this bike really help me to stop the bike from a very high speed at ease. Till date i have got highest speed of 103 km/hr on nh2 and hold that at-least for 2 mins. And several times i have crossed 90 km/hr speed mark. Riding is very smooth and safe. For the look is very smart. And the red colour is perfect for me.One thing i should say that i can easily grab the speed up to 85 km/hr but after that pic up gets slow and u have to struggle a little bit to reach 100km/hr. But i must say that it is very steady bike with a speed of 100 km/hr with or without a pillion rider. I have done small bike trips with this read beast in last 2 years like i have ridden this bike up to 350 kms in one day and i am confident that i can go beyond this limit. Over all it is a fantastic bike for me and obviously value for money.Noe i am coming to the servicing of this bike. I generally service the bike in every 5000 km ride. Gradually u people know that what is required during service or in between service period for sake of your bike. Obviously the service centre guys are awesome with their good behaviour and service provided to my bike unicorn 160 till date. No complaints against them till date. They are really help full to me always.Pros : 1) good looking.2) smooth riding.3) nice pick up.4) good economy for fuel.5) with cbs it is very smart to stop.6) low but nice sound of engine.Cons :1) head light is very poor for night riding.2) parts are very costly.3) no engine kill switch. That's all guys and i must advice you always use genuine honda parts for your bike and must use honda throttle mobil for unicorn 160 for smooth riding and longer life..........Enjoy riding..................

Horrible engine performance and initial pickup is the biggest problem in this bike. Not at all satisfied. Don't buy this bike . It's waste of money. Better go to unicorn 150 instead of 160. I guess this problem is there with bs-4 engine. Soon they will recall these bike...
