BMW Bikes

BMW bike price starts from Rs. 2,89,996. BMW offers 18 new models in India with most popular bikes being G310 RR, G 310 GS and G 310 R. The upcoming bikes of BMW include R nineT Racer, F900 GS and R1300 GS. Most expensive BMW bike is M 1000 RR, which is priced at Rs. 48,98,779.

BMW started off as an aircraft manufacturer in the early 20th century. Post World War I, BMW was prohibited from manufacturing aircraft engines, so it set its sights on the automotive world. The first BMW motorcycle rolled off the production line in 1923. Christened ‘R32’, this model became the base for future BMW models for a long time. BMW has been associated with a number of innovations in the automotive world. Technologies like telescopic forks, hydraulic damping and straight-travel rear-wheel suspension were first used by BMW. Over the years, BMW has also been actively involved in various disciplines of motorsports including superbike racing, road racing and endurance rallies. BMW’s current range consists of a wide variety of motorcycles, stretching from superbikes to naked roadsters, from adventure touring motorcycles to modern classics. BMW even has ‘urban mobility vehicles’ in the form of scooters, though these aren’t sold in India at this point of time. BMW plans to increase its global sales figures by a significant number, and the 310cc motorcycles that have been developed with TVS will play a big role. However, BMW currently sells only large-displacement motorcycles from its portfolio. The G 310 R and G 310 GS will be launched in the near future, however, but they won’t be accessible as such, with their premium pricing.

    1) The Buying Experience was hassle-free, my cousin has already owned 310gs since 2020. That inspired me to buy this. The executives were well-behaved and helpful. 2) After installation of the accessories the looks have been enhanced by many folds. No one can say that it's not a superbike 3) The first service is not due yet will update later. Ceramic coating /PPF is a must 4) Pros: Very good road presence, comfortable seat, and lightweight while riding. Cons: Misses out on many latest features like traction control, switchable ABS and fuel tank capacity is only 11 ltr.

  • BMW S 1000 RR
    Experience about BMW
    Deepak Temrwal
    1. Buying Experience: Purchasing a BMW S1000RR motorcycle often involves visiting authorized BMW Motorrad dealerships. Similar to the car buying experience, customers can explore various models, receive guidance from knowledgeable staff, and even test ride different bikes. BMW dealerships typically offer a range of accessories and customization options to tailor the bike to the rider's preferences. 2. Riding Experience: BMW motorcycles are renowned for their performance, agility, and advanced technology. Whether it's a sportbike, touring bike, adventure bike, or cruiser, BMW offers models to suit different riding styles and preferences. Riders often praise BMW motorcycles for their responsive handling, powerful engines, and comfortable ergonomics, making long rides enjoyable and dynamic. 3. Details about Looks, Performance, etc.: BMW motorcycles feature distinctive designs that blend style with functionality. From the iconic boxer engine layout to sleek bodywork and innovative features like BMW's Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) and ABS Pro, BMW bikes exude quality and sophistication. Performance-wise, BMW motorcycles are known for their potent engines, advanced electronics, and cutting-edge features like traction control, riding modes, and cornering ABS. 4. Servicing and Maintenance: Owning a BMW motorcycle involves regular servicing and maintenance, which can vary depending on the model and usage. BMW Motorrad dealerships offer specialized service centers staffed with trained technicians who understand the intricacies of BMW bikes. While maintenance costs may be higher compared to some competitors, BMW owners often appreciate the peace of mind that comes with professional service and genuine parts. 5. Pros and Cons: -Pros: Excellent build quality, advanced technology features, dynamic performance, comfortable ergonomics for long rides, extensive dealer network, and strong brand reputation. - Cons: Higher initial cost compared to some competitors, maintenance and repair costs can be expensive, limited aftermarket support compared to other motorcycle brands, and some models may have a more focused riding position, which may not suit all riders. Overall, owning a BMWS1000RR motorcycle offers a premium riding experience with a blend of performance, comfort, and innovative technology, but it's essential to consider the associated costs and whether the bike aligns with the rider's preferences and riding style.

  • BMW F850 GS

After 25 years, I went back to riding a motorcycle. I have a honda highness 350 for my regular commute and was exploring an adventure bike for long tours. I researched all adventure bikes starting from 500cc, 650cc, 800-900cc, 1000cc, and 1200-1250cc bikes. My riding needs are 90% on-road and occasional offroad. I don't ride higher than 110kp/h and most of the time ride at 95-100km/h. Keeping the above in mind, I chose BMW F850 GS. The ride height was high for me (175cm), so opted for a low seat seat from the showroom. This brings the height to 820mm and it is perfect. The bike is just awesome. Plush ride, adequate power, and good fuel economy. The bike's weight is high, but we have to manage it by making some changes to our driving habits. I have done over 8000 kms on the bike and really love it.
