BMW S 1000 XR [2018-2019] Summary
As BMW calls it, the S 1000 XR is an adventure sports motorcycle. The bike is less of an off-road bike, and is more focused on touring.
In terms of design, the bike bears a lot of semblance to the supersport S 1000 RR. The S 1000 XR, being a tourer, is equipped with a tall windscreen and the split seats are designed for long distance rides. Electronically, the bike comes loaded with two riding modes and Automatic Stability Control (ASC) as standard. Also available as an option is the Ride Modes Pro, which allows the rider to choose from two additional modes and BMW’s Dynamic Traction Control (DTC). BMW has also provided an optional Gear Shift Assist Pro which allows for clutch-less upshifts and downshifts.
Braking duties on the bike are done by 320mm dual discs in the front and a 265mm disc at the rear. The bike features a 20-litre fuel tank and has a kerb weight of 228kg. The S 100 XR is powered by a 999cc in-line four engine that produces 165bhp and 114Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and final chain drive.
The BMW S 1000 XR competes with the Ducati Multistrada 1200 and Kawasaki Versys 1000. It is priced at Rs 18.77 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).

Riding this unbelievable bike since 6 months and the experience is quite amazing.No doubt you will be a value for money bike rich in feature with a lovely look. Don't think much just go for it, have a sexy drive. Amazing bike,Good riding experience. Best in looks and high performance.Servicing can be little costly.

I borrow from a friend i can say anything about buying.Its so quick at changing gear and doesn't consume much oil in-fact its just doesn't consume oil than its looks like.
Its shape and siting posture suits the rider especially when at full speed,its hard for one to be hit by birds or large insects since one bends almost sleeping on the fuel tank.
Frequent changing oil and brake pads makes it a new born baby every time your ride it.Cheap and readily available spare-parts makes it one in a million bike to have at home.
It is just the best a man can get.Just like Gillette.
