Aprilia unveils its electric motorcycle at EICMA 2022

- Dubbed the ELECTRICa

- Aimed at younger riders

- Powered by a centrally-mounted motor

Besides its special edition RS 660, Aprilia also unveiled its electric two-wheeler concept, the ELECTRICa at EICMA 2022. It’s targeted toward younger riders, the ELECTRICa will be an entry point for Aprilia’s EV lineup.

It looks pretty much like a supermoto with its small wheels, slim build, wide handlebar and tall seat height. The ELECTRICa gets a centrally mounted motor with the battery packed above it. The e-bike gets an LED headlight and the overall styling is quite futuristic.

While the motor, battery specifications, charging time, top speed and other details are yet to be revealed, Aprilia says that the ELECTRICa will feature keyless operation and fully digital instrumentation. Meanwhile, the hardware comprises USD front forks, monoshock, front and rear disc brakes, and alloy wheels wrapped in road-biased tyres.

The Aprilia ELECTRICa is still in its early stages as a project and could make more development progress in the near future. That said, if you are looking for electric two-wheelers in India, you have options like Ather 450X, Ola S1, Revolt RV400, Bajaj Chetak, and more.
