Aprilia RS 660 is a sports bike available in only 1 variant and 3 colours. The Aprilia RS 660 is powered by 659cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 98.56 bhp and a torque of 67 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, Aprilia RS 660 comes up with anti-locking braking system. This RS 660 bike weighs 183 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 15 liters.
The Aprilia RS660 is a middle-weight supersport offering that re-entered India in 2024 avatar after a hiatus. The motorcycle is available in India as a CBU (completely built-up) product and comes with a steep price tag for its class.
The motorcycle can be perceived a scaled down version of Aprilia flagship sportbike, the RSV4. It takes styling inspiration from its bigger sibling with an angular, two-piece LED headlamp, a layered side fairing with sharp edges and contours, a muscular fuel tank, and a pointed upswept tail section. Despite looking like quintessential supersport, the seating ergonomics offered by the RS660 aren’t as committed and demanding as some of its rivals like the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
Powering the RS660 is a 659cc, twin-cylinder engine with a 270-degree crank that churns out 100bhp and 67Nm. This motor comes mated to a six-speed gearbox with a quick shifter as standard. Typical of an Aprilia, the RS660 comes loaded with electronic aids for its segment. The package includes a six-axis IMU, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, cruise control, engine maps, three levels of ABS adjustability, and all LED illumination.
As for the cycle parts, it is underpinned by a perimeter frame that is suspended by 41mm KYB upside down forks and a monoshock, both offering preload and rebound adjustability. Braking hardware includes dual 320mm discs up front and a single 220mm disc at the rear.
The 2024 Aprilia RS660 competes against the likes of the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R and the Ducati SuperSport.
