I'm writing here after 57067 kms riding this bike.1.Buying experience: worth buying this bike. 2.Riding experience: -on smooth roads it's absolutely fine, i enjoy riding it. One can ride easily on 70-80 kmph.But, in rough roads i don't like the ride, i have to slow down upto 15-20 kmph.- i love riding my bike alone or with a person below 90 kg3.Details about looks, performance etc.:-as per the look of the bike anyone young and middle age can ride the bike.I love the way it looks.-yes, i face problem while shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear or the reverse. The gear makes a sudden noise while i gear down( 3rd-2nd, 2nd-1st).-it gives an mind-blowing mileage of 62-65 in long run and 55-68 in heavy traffic.-toruqe/power is good. -i have seen top speed 117 kmph in my bike.-engine runs smoothly till now.(i changed the piston rings after 43000 kms)-digital speedometer helps me maintaining rpm and speed for a decent riding and mileage results.4.Servicing and maintenance:-the most annoying this about this bike are #a tapping sound (clearly audible /annoying) comes from somewhere near the tappet or timing chain or valves. After loosing hope from the service station i got it repaired from a known( educated experienced mechanic). But, soon after 2000 kms it again started. Again i have to spend some more bucks to get it repaired.# the other problem is, once you need to remove the tyre you need to remove the whole system (chain cover, chain from the rear wheel). It will be a headache if you stuck somewhere in a rural place.#due to mono suspension, if you have a heavy person on your back the head beam of headlight will move up, focus of light will go up(standard settings).#oil seal of my front left shock absorber been changed 3 times or 4 times(i hate to see leaks, oils coming out from left shock absorber)#due to less ground clearance, one has to be dead slow or even use legs if you face even a medium (not huge) sized speed breaker. The body of my bike while crossing it.I hate it.#if your are aware of the problem, maintenance will be low, else it may hurt your wallet.5.Pros and cons:It has more pros than cons.Pros:It's efficiency and smooth engine is the most important thing i like about it.62-65 kmpl mileage, smooth sound, what else do you need. Honda cb unicorn 160 after 29500 km bike have engine problem. Service center has told me their are half engine work.It's very painful to costumer when company raised hand . Don't suggest to anyone who wants to buy cb unicorn 160. Unicorn expert are also less.In service center only their are activa expert.

I always had gear problems with this bike, gets stuck between 1 and 2 when changing.
Got repaired so many times.
Tried even replacing clutch plates.
The engine is not smooth and has handling problems when breaking suddenly.
Riding is not that comfortable.
The service center is also not fair.
They initially did not acknowledge the problem.
So I would not suggest others buy this hike.

1. Not a good mileage bad experience. Mileage 30-38city & highway. The seat is very hard not to a long ride. Commuter like 30 km.

5. First thing the mileage is very low, good to think about pickup it's first.

styling of this bike is decent and is perfectly placed between sportier and executive class category. Its design is new and aerodynamic.

Engine performance, fuel economy and gearbox

engine performance of this bike is very good it can do 0-100 in 16.15 Sec, especially beside good power figure of 14.5 It posses huge torque figure of 14.7(In its class).

Engine doesn't gets heated so quickly but there exist cold start problems need to rev upto 4k rpm before starting journey.

Fuel economy claim is 62kmpl but since my bike has not completed its 1st servicing and considering facts like i drive in indian roads (filled full of potholes) and congested traffic which have no idea of traffic rules im still getting a decent mileage of 39-40kmpl in city also i was learning so considering these things overall mileage is never a problem. Yes, you can expect a mileage of 45-50kmpl in city and 55kmpl in highways.Considering the power that it has on offer mileage figures are outstanding.

Gearbox is ok, but i had problem while shifting from 1-n-2 due to false neutrals but as i learned it was never a problem after that.

Ride quality & handling

ride quality is very good seat cushioning is adequate, both suspension work very well. Suspension is not too soft or hard but adequate to tackle india road conditions.

One of the important reason for me to buy this bike is that it is ultralight 135kgs and did promised a good handling.

As a learner it will not disappoint you.

finally honda cb unicorn 160 was a good buy, honda sales and service representatives are supportive and you get a reliable bike too.

Areas of improvement

inclusion of engine kill switch, incresed saddle height upto 800mm atleast,

gear change issues.

Cons

no engine kill switch, gear jump & cold start problem.

Around 3 years i'm using this bike, the bike is perfect for a long drive. The most important support that you can get here is the perfect mileage and the accurate synthesis of the bike in terms of the on road performance. I always experience an smooth and relaxed ride by this bike. I think this is an one of the best product of honda and everybody among our circle likes it. No one can hate this bike, for the person who loves smooth and comfort ride, its the perfect bike. We will look cool during riding this bike.

When i firstly buy this bike so i was not happy for buy this bike i look for another honda bike name hornet but when i ride this bike so i feel that there is no difference in both the bike it has a main difference is that looks.But it is overall a good bike in its class.My riding experience is overall good. It has good torque or power good handling and braking efficiency.It has normal looks not very bad or not very hot look it is like a family or normal look bike.And it's performance is very good than its rivals like tvs apache and many more in the market because it's engine performance is the best.And i tell you that it's service and maintenance is not very costly it has service charge about rs.1000 by every 2 months but remind that service is done by the authorised service centre .It has pros like it's performance by engine.And it has only one cons like it is not so hot like it's rival tvs apache. But in last it is a good bike.
