Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India and its obsession to become the number one two-wheeler manufacturer in India has made them come up with a strategic launch plan. After launching the Unicorn 160 in January, it launched five new facelifted products last week that are slated to hit the market soon. 

The Honda Activa 3G has been launched in India at Rs 48,852 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Activa 3G is an updated version of Honda’s popular 110cc scooter, the Activa 110, which has been revised with minor cosmetic updates and new paint schemes. 

We were the first ones to report about a possible launch of the CBR650F, which was showcased yesterday at the dealers meet. But it looks like Honda is gearing up for its biggest launch ever and if it goes this way, we would see six products rolling out from the press conference today.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India is going to showcase something new tomorrow. However, it has remained tight-lipped about this conference but it looks like, it might launch a new scooter. The scooter could be the Activa 3G, which was spotted recently.

Continuing its stellar performance from the previous year, Honda has recorded a 14 per cent growth in overall sales in January 2015 as compared to the same period, last year. The company sold 3,93,787 units in the last month, clocking a 28 per cent market share of the Indian two-wheeler industry.

Driven by the growing demand for its scooter range, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India registered a 17 per cent jump in sales number in November, this year. The Japanese manufacturer sold 3,72,036 units in the last month, thereby sealing its position as the country’s second largest two-wheeler manufacturer.

Driven by the strong demand for the Activa and its commuter motorcycles, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has recorded its highest ever monthly sales in September 2014. The company sold 4,38,521 units of scooters and motorcycles in the last month, registering an amazing growth of 32 per cent over the same period, last year.

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has signed a memorandum of understanding with Punjab National Bank to provide attractive retail finance to Honda’s two-wheeler customers across the country. This MOU was signed by S. S Bhatia, general maanager, retail assets division, PNB and Yadvinder Guleria, vice president, sales & marketing, HMSI.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) registered a 26 per cent growth in its domestic sales figures in August 2014, as compared to the corresponding period in the last year. The company also reported a 32 per cent hike in its overall sales numbers in April to August, this fiscal year. 

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. (HMSI) achieved another milestone in July by selling the highest number of Activas in July. This makes it the highest sales achieved by a manufacturer amongst all two-wheelers sold in the Indian market.
