TVS has updated the Apache RTR 180 to comply with the newest emission norms. The BS6 version of the sporty commuter is available in a single variant and it is priced at Rs 1,01,450 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The latest iteration of the motorcycle retains the styling of its predecessor and thus comes equipped with a halogen headlight with LED pilot lamps, an LED taillight, semi-digital instrument cluster and a muscular design. The colour options, too, are identical to the BS4 model, and the Apache RTR 160 BS6 is available in Pearl White, Matte Blue, Gloss Black and T Grey shades.
The BS6 upgrade has added to the weight, and the 2020 model tips the weighing scale at 141kg (vs 139kg). The dimensions such as length (2,085mm), width (730mm) and height (1,105mm) remain identical to the BS4 model. The wheelbase and the ground clearance, on the other hand, are different than its predecessor. The BS6 version features a wheelbase of 1,300mm (as against 1,326mm) and a ground clearance of 170mm (as against 165mm).
The mechanical details, on the other hand, have received noticeable changes. The 177.4cc, single-cylinder, oil-cooled engine gets a fuel injection system, and it now produces 16.5bhp of peak power at 8,500rpm and 15.5Nm of maximum torque at 7,000rpm. The company has added the Glide Through Technology (GTT) to the BS6 iteration of the motorcycle. The GTT system aims to eliminate engine stalling.
Hardware specifications continue to include telescopic forks at the front and gas-filled twin springs at the back to handle the shock absorption duties. Stopping power comes from a 270mm petal-type disc at the front and a 200mm petal-type rotor at the back. The safety net of single-channel ABS comes as standard.

Fabulous bike, I would always like to drive this. I always dream of riding the Apache bike on a four-lane highway at a speed of 120 kmph.Very good for city use and very good quality of accelerator and brakes. It has a nice and good seat quality. It comes with wide tyres, which give it a good grip on the road.

The all-new TVS Apache RTR 180 is powered by the BS-VI Race Tuned Fuel Injection (RT-Fi) technology with an improved power of 17.03PS. The intelligent system has optimized the engine so that racers can experience the ultimate performance from the engine in any race condition. This is my favourite bike.

Ride quality & handling ride on Apache is good and braking performance is also very good. Rider and pillion do not have much stress and the combo of rear mig shocker performs well. The handling department is tougher at high speed due to excessive vibrations coming from the engine that result in the rider down the speed.

Apache 180 backs up its aggressive stance with equally impressive performance. Powered by a refined 180cc engine, this bike delivers a punchy performance that is sure to satisfy even the most demanding riders. The throttle response is crisp, and power delivery is linear across the rev range, making it a joy to ride both in the city and on the highway.

it is very worst experience from the first year of buying it - in first 6 months clutch plate got stucked and burnt even though I did my 2nd service 17 days ago- engine Breakdown after 1 year and 4 months of buy- now I owned it for almost 7 year and I made engine repairing 9 time which is very shocking for me.- the main problem I observed now that engine oil heated after 50 km continuous run and Breakdown the engine.

One year long ownership review

Buying experience was good, on long runs fees tiring, but performance-wise it felt really good, I have enjoyed it thoroughly. Mileage is not too good but considering performance one can compromise on that.Rest bike is pretty decent and one use it for daily commute also. But for long touring something more laid back is needed.

A great Average
Puru Mehta
It is good for traffic commute, but on highways you can get irritated with the vibrations once you pass 60kmph. The fit and finish of parts are good and to be honest TVS parts are really good compared to honda and bajaj. Mileage in city traffic will be around 30-35kmpl. Its good for looks and daily ride, but that's what you can do on this, that is why term it has a great average.

40 good 60 not good

Brijesh Kumar Singh
Buying experience is good . But main issue is with high end vibration you feel in full body ..After long ride your start getting pain .Torque is too good in heavy traffic . When u ride in traffic u will .I m the only king on road because of high pickup ,by look wise it's hot and sexy , servicing is not too high but break soul take lots of money ,Pro :- i love bike speed , style ,look ..Pickup. Cons :- mileage is not good it's gives me 30 to 35 on traffic and high way ,but if you use only on high way then it's give you quite good around 40 , Seating is not comfortable and seat cushions not good at all ..Vibration in full body specially on handle and meter console area And higher rpm you miss 6 th gear ..Which is very important for 180cc bike.

Needs improvement...
Hemant
Rear tyre must be 130/80. Front forks must be little more wider than provided. ABS must be dual.Full digital meter and gear indicator is missing. These improvement will make this bike unbeatable as compared with 200 and 220cc bikes of any company. Otherwise bike is awesome. Gives nice feel everytime riding.

Vibration and average problem
Chintamani Mangalmurti
With the bike each and everything is perfect but the major problem which appears in this bike is 'vibration'.And the another problem of average,My bike is giving me average of 35kmpl even when i am changing oil time to time, properly maintained and serviced but still i am very disappointed about it.And please someone tell tvs that Apache needs 1 more gear for smoothness 5 gear drive is not enough for rtr 180. When you ride this bike on regular basis its kind of uncomfortable and you feel tired. Tvs should do something about it.And positive points are that bike look's smoking hot, heavy looks and attractive. Powerful engine and on highway you will have supper fun and you will enjoy a lot. 3 out of 5.
