MV Agusta readying more affordable versions of Superveloce 800 and Brutale 1000 Serio Oro

- These versions will get a revised engine with fewer electronics

- Will boast of the same styling

- MV Agusta has also planned a line-up of heritage-inspired bikes

MV Agusta is readying more affordable versions of its limited-edition motorcycles, the Superveloce 800 and the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro. The revelation was made by the company’s CEO, Timur Sardarov, during an interview. Subsequently, the top honcho also stated that the brand is working on a whole line-up of heritage-inspired motorcycles, similar to the Superveloce 800.

The Italian bikemaker had revealed the Serio Oro editions of both bikes at the EICMA show in Milan, last year. According to the statement by Timur, these models were introduced to cater to a special set of customers who desire for more exclusivity. However, the company has also been working on lower priced, more accessible iteration of the motorcycles which will offer fewer number of features and slightly revised engine but will get the same design.

MV Agusta had showcased the Superveloce 800 Serio Oro in its concept avatar last year. While the motorcycle is based on the supersport F3 800, it boasts of a styling which is inspired by MV Agusta’s race bikes from 70s and 80s. Owing to the favourable response from the audience, the bikemaker went on to announce 300 units of the motorcycle for sale. The Superveloce borrows its 798cc, inline three-cylinder motor from the F3 800 but it has been tuned to deliver a punchier mid-range.

As for the Brutale 1000 Serie Oro, MV Agusta had revealed the streetfighter alongside the Superveloce at the EICMA, which is also limited to 300 units. Powering this hypernaked is a 998cc, inline four mill which is borrowed from the F4 RC sportsbike. This motor belts out a staggering 212bhp and 115Nm with the top speed recorded at 300kmph! Besides the intimidating looks, the motorcycle packs in a plethora of electronics such as ride-by-wire throttle, wheelie control, launch control, eight levels of traction control and quick shifter.

MV Agusta has priced the Superveloce 800 and the Brutale 1000 Serio Oro at 42,990 euros (approx. Rs 33 lakhs) and 27990 euros (approx. Rs 21.51 lakhs), respectively. The affordable versions in question will come with a more reasonable price tag.
