Reviews of Honda Activa 125 [2016-2017]

Buying experience is best,riding experience is best.All is ok but average of activa 125 is very poor.I have purchase a bs4 model its giving me just 35-38 per litre on honda website they are showing 54 as average but don't know how they calculate.If you want to purchase then go for activa 4g instead of 125.

It is good quality, awesome pickup & mileage combination....It gives around 53 kmpl and best for racing or doubling..... Acceleration speed is excellent and power is very good along with torque. So go for it.....Awesome ride quality and it is best for off road experience and please buy it and it is amazing product

I bought it nearly a year ago and till now i am enjoying driving it as it has solved the problem of front brake which was there in activa that if we apply front brake only the tyre got inwards but in activa 125 if we apply front brake only then also it stops immediately. It also has a con that its battery gets low after some months which you might need to get charged. It gives a comfortable driving experience and it also has a good pickup comparatively to activa.

Pros

Brand honda - honda is renowned for quality products. Even the spare parts of honda are of superior quality and that is way honda bikes last long with minimal maintenance cost. It has also good resale market.

Good build quality - it is well know that honda bikes are made with better materials over bajaj or tvs. Activa 125 is not exception, in fact it looks more premium than activa 100.

Telescopic suspension it comes with front telescopic suspension which is missing in normal activa.

Combi-brakes & tubeless tyres nowadays this are common features, but still i though to mention them.

Mileage even though this is 125 cc and is heavier than normal activa, it gives marginally lesser mileage. I get around 56 on average.

Smooth engine the engine is well refined by honda. So it is smoother than activa 110. Even while going higher speeds that engine remains smoother and no vibrations unlike shine 125.

Cons

Taller & heavier i feel this scooter should have been a bit shorter for better driveability. The weight is also a bit too much. It is especially difficult for women to handle it, particularly if it breaks down.

Engine not so peppy the engine is smoother but unlike access it is not fun driving the scooter. Access encourages us to be adventurous on the road due to its characteristics. But activa encourages smooth and steady driving. It is suitable for middle aged men who just want to go fast to their office, not for college students.

Price given its specification, ideally it should have been prices at least a 5000 rupees lesser. Acess is priced well comparatively.

So those are my opinions on activa 125. Now i need to say among the two 125 ccs, which one is my favorite. After considering all the facts, i had a easy choice to make- access 125 is better over activa 125. I came to this conclusion not for the reasons i have mentioned earlier, but for two other reasons i going to point out now:

Starting trouble in all the years i had my access, there is not a single day that i had to use the kick start or the choke. I always started in the first button press even if i did not use the scooter for few days. But with my activa, it never started in the morning without applying the kick start. When i go away for few days, i use to instruct my father to start the scooter every day otherwise it will be hard to start it when i return. Simply pathetic in this aspect. Even at the service center i was told that this is normal for activa scooters.

The buying experience was pretty good. One of the staff gave me the detailed review of the scooter. He was very polite and cleared my doubts with precision. The scooter looks muscular but is comfortable to ride on. The pick-up is better than expected. Handling is excellent. But the servicing is poor. For the free-servicing, they charge lump-sum money.

I think this is the only drawback of honda two-wheelers. Otherwise the product is overall good

Overall damn scooter i ever rode till date whether in looks, power, maintenance, service etc etc i.E very majestic in look, tremendously powerful in horse power means while riding feels as if am flying in air, wohooo !! really a very awesome' creation by honda, so guys !! whosoever's looking 4 buying a good 1 then activa 125's the greatest choice 2 go for, so happy riding' !!

Honda a name i always trust and will continue to trust. Reliability, durability, precision, value for money are all the attributes you could associate to honda.

However, a few cons i wanted to state:

1) i bought 125cc version with the hope that it will be satiate my power needs when riding. But found it really wanting when it could not hill-start from a pot-hole with two passengers (driver + pillion). All automatic scooters must be having this problem then.

2) the vehicle tends to wobble/skid at the slightest presence of gravel or sand. This is very different to my motor-cycle experience (possibly due to very small wheel size).

The first time experience in owning an activa is awesome and where the riding is concerned, it's really comfortable.

Looks wise it's almost for everyone and all age groups.

Performance wise it's a complete value for money and mileage is great or rather i'd say it's fantastic.

Periodic service will keep the activa running for long.

Everything about the activa is good and it's a complete two wheeler, be it long distance riding, it has the comfort and the power too.

Be it shopping or marketing, it has the storage and the capacity to carry weights.

All in all i must say that it's the best in its category.
