  • Tvs jupiter review after 18k riding

    Mitul Patel

    1. Buying experience is good. Received scooter on time. PDI is ok.
    2. Riding experience is good. Daily commuting for 30kms(15 +15) in heavy traffic.
    3. Very stable, getting 55 kmpl mileage, good braking, good suspensions, headlight intensity is not enough but reflector is good, the engine kill switch is not provided, fuel lead cover is directly fixed with fuel tank plastic part.
    4. Sevice of tvs is very poor. Mechanics and service advisers are properly trained. Maintenance cost is around 500 per 2000kms and 1300 at 12000kms.
    5. Pros. 1. Riding quality (stability and comfort) is good 2. The material used is good. 3. Mileage is good. 4. Easy double stand 5. Good storage space.
cons. 1. Fit and finish are not good. 2. Fuel lead cover is fixed directly on the plastic tank, risk of damage due to the weight of the fuel filling nozzle. 3. Due to the absence of an engine kill switch and auto-off facility one has to stop the engine by key only. In this case, I experience wearing out of the key head after 10k and trouble in on/ off operation. 4. Headlight properly focuses on the road but the light source intensity is not enough for heavy traffic road.
    * request to ask for warranty conditions before delivery, as the company is not providing a warranty for all parts of scooter. To get a warranty for said kms it is compulsory to take after-sales service from tvs authorized service center. My experience with the service centre is not good.
    * Download the service manual from the website to maintain your vehicle.
    * engine and gear oil need replacement at 2k kms.
    * clutch roller needs replacement around 18k. ( 24k mentioned in the service manual ) it depends on riding conditions.

    Wasim

    Worst scooter I have brought.
    1. Worst riding experience
    2. I have driven only 4000 km in 2yrs, and done timely servicing, still, I have been told by the service center to change the battery, brake pad, etc.
    3. Make a lot of noise, in comparison to other scooter hardly have anything positive, it is just a package of tin.
    4. Service centers are not good, they even don't know anything about your scooter they keep on experimenting with things hoping something could work. But lastly, nothing happens.
My overall view, is don't buy it.

    Tushar

    Bought ZX in July 2020.
3 service done and I have started getting its optimum performance. Mileage around 48 in traffic which is really good.
Less weight in handle bar makes it smooth ride.
Comfortable seat. No issue faces so far. Did great research btw Jupiter and Activa, bought both of them. Jupiter stands apart. Best in segment.
    Great service from TVS.

There is no single good experience I had with the service. From the day we have purchased this bike, within a week it got us in trouble and the best hopeless service you guys have us throughout this. I don't want to give even one star, you people don't even deserve that. I need replacement if you guys can't do even that, don't give us such excuses.

Hello friends i brought my jupiter bs3 on june 2016

since i have completed around 6000+km on my tvs jupiter. So i am able to write my review here

first of all my buying experience was very good i got a discount of rs.2000 On it and got this machine at a price tag of rs.63000 With accessories..

Lets talk about the riding experience the engine is super smooth on this scooter after it is a updated version of wego's engine..Top speed of my tvs jupiter is 90kmph the engine feels much more smoother at a speed of 60kmph

pickup of this scooter is just superb it can do 0_60kmph in 7.2Sec without pillion..I have maintained my scooter regularly and serviced it on time..

    The mileage i m getting is 50_55kmpl

till now i haven't faced any problems in my tvs jupiter everything is just fine

the maintenance charges for this scooter is very low only rs300 which is charged for engine oil..Spare parts are easily available

    pros

    1)super smooth engine

    2) jupiter has the biggest (12inch tyre in both rear and front) in 110cc scooter segment

    3) pickup is superb it can beat any 110cc scooter in acceleration

    4) mileage is about 50_55kmpl

    5) jupiter has the best suspension setup (front telescopic and gas charged mono shock absorber in back)

    6) riding quality is quite good

    7)no vibration

    8) headlamps are very good

9)it has tubeless tyres, eco meter, pass light, front hook(for bags), external fuel filling, pilot lamps, low fuel indicator and much more

    cons

    1) engine feels little stressed at higher speed

    2) engine bis little noise(but i love its engine sound)

    3)no trip meter

  • Best bike i ever seen mileage 57km

    Akshay

    Amazing bike with amazing mileage.

    Power delivery was good

Daily running from home to office 70km

People complaining about mileage because sometimes its a service center fault.

Last year my jupiter gave me mileage around 28km per ltr but after adjusting air-fuel ratio mixing screw and rpm screw it give me around 57 to 59km average per ltr till date.

    Current ode reading is 12145km

I bought this bike in Nov 2015 (almost 2 year) still giving amazing mileage to me.

Just drive your vehicle in eco mode (30 to 50km per hour) and wait for the best average.

  • My experience w the indigenous tvs jupiter

    Subrata

My experience w/ jupiter: 4.8 / 5 Why a scooty is better than any 150cc bike:Feb 14 2017 i want to buy a new 2 wheeler, initially i was not convinced with a ‘scooty’ i always loved and used bikes. The idea behind scooty was a vehicle that’s for us - me and my wifey - a gearless, convenient vehicle w/ ample storage space for regular use. After finalising on scooty, i have done research and practically used my friends activa, jupiter and suzuki access. Trust me jupiter is the best deal. Why not activa, my trust and belief in good "indigenous" products:Jupiter have specs like bigger alloy wheels, fuel tank outside, telescopic shock, helmet locks, bigger and comfortable seat better and customer friendly service, ‘the off-grey color and mobile charging point’ which activa later followed with 4g variant ( i loved it when japanese follows Indians)Performance and cons:Engine is smooth, pick up is superb, jupiter having all the pros. Only backlog of a scooty is on highways the speed limit is 83 kmph. I have lot of long drives on week offs mumbai-pune, mumbai-matheran, mumbai-alibug, mumbai-mahabaleswar with the jupiter. It’s awesome.Service / and maintenance: Sai tvs vashi is too good, very co=operative staffs. A thumb up for them.Final verdict: Mileage: 54.2 kmpl intact even after 1 year 2 months, i use my jupiter for daily commute to office about 40 kms in mumbai. The mileage is better but i have to drive little rush and with heavy traffic - the above^ mileage is real life on road numbers.- a happy customer.

  • All your questions on tvs jupiter are answered here!!!

    Aashirwad Tripathy

The lightest of all scooters until 2016, the tvs jupiter is my first ride I've ever bought. It's far better than a honda activa, in terms of mileage, looks, durability. It has allow wheels!....It has metal body, compared to fibre on activa. But at one region it lacks behind is the fuel tank capacity......It has only 3.95 l of tank....Compared to 6 on activa. Various colour options.Servicing is fine and as usual...Costs usual. I've done long distance rides from chandigarh to delhi and back...Without any problems. The seat is comfortable and wide. It's manoeuvrability is very nice. If you scratch it or get the side body get scratched, the cost for repaint is high as hell, and the emblem costs around 300-400.It's top speed is 85km/h.It sound great and throaty at higher speeds, compared to jet engine like sound on an active. It is less customisable compared to activa The alloy wheel is very strong, even stronger than those on ktm motorcycles (i believe)....Because on my way to kurukshetra, i was speeding around 70-75, and went on to a pothole of about 70 centimetres in diameter...And nothing happened to allow not to the suspension. The rear suspension is considerably on softer side...The reason can be it's made for city commutes and not for long rides perhaps. The best colour available is matte blue for standard version. Now you can get the classic jupiter's in two brand new colour schemes. I prefer the brown over creme colour. You can get risk brakes on the schedule models and the millionr model. The headlight does decent job is pitch dark roads.Mileage is 45-55, depending how you ride.It has a hide under seat compartment(bigger than activa). If you won't wash it regularly then it's black dashboard colorado can get faded. In a nutshell...If you hate activa, this is the best choice for you, (other than value for money).I hope all of your questions are answered here....So thanks guys....

    N J

I have been using this vehicle since 4 years and i have never faced any serious issue about this. These days only the suspensions are became little jerky after using 25000 km. And other one is i had to change the rear tyre only at 3000 kms and petrol tube got damaged itself so many time it is little disappointing I used this for little long journey like approx. 150 km a day. Riding quality, engine response, breaking experience is very good compare then other its companions. It has no lake of power at any stage. Rider will fill so confident while riding. One more thing is it vibrates till speed of 60 kmh bt after that it became smooth. It is giving mileage of 55 kpml at road and 50-52 at city.Seats are so comfortable, vehicle is safe for riding. It looks so bold. Its big headlamp give it extra boldness and its unique design and sound gives it extra attention on the road. In my city (pithora) there is not any proper service point is available. This vehicle's maintenance cost is cheaper than other .Overall this vehicle is best in class. If anybody is looking for scooter go for it with any other queries and tension.

  • Tvs jupiter review after 18k riding

  • My experience w the indigenous tvs jupiter

    Mitul Patel

  • Best performance & looks. Class apart.

    1) change engine oil as per company manual (every 2500km) 2) for mileage drive between 30 to 50km per hour (mine was giving between 57 to 59km per ltr) 3) change your transmission oil, air filter, spark plug as per company schedule. 4) polish your vehicle once in a month to look new.

    Tips for other riders

after a wash, polish the dashboard with 1:15 mixture of oil:soap and water...to keep it pitch black and never let it fade. don't use a seat cover, as it may hinder the locking/unlocking of the seat and also the comfort can get levelled.

  • Real experience
