    • "No Looking Back: My First Motorcycle Is a Royal Enfield 650cc"

      Fhilmar Raj Jayaraj Mallika

This Shotgun650 is very stylish to behold and powerful to cruise on the road. It combines the muscular charm of a cruiser bobber with the sleek agility of a roadster. Indeed, this is my first motorcycle ever purchased. I have never ridden a 350cc bike before but jumping straight to a 650cc felt surprisingly natural—no discomfort, just pure enjoyment. Though the motorcycle carries a solid presence with its weight, it complements my height and build.
The sitting position is incredibly comfortable and well-balanced, allowing for long rides without much strain. Whether you are navigating city traffic or enjoying a weekend escape, it offers excellent ergonomic comfort. The engine delivers smooth, powerful cruising, making every ride feel like an adventure. After going through reviews from Shotgun650 riders in India and around the world, I confidently made my purchase. I recommend the Shotgun650 motorcycle to anyone considering a purchase—provided you are committed to following road rules and prioritizing your own safety.

I have recently purchased this single-seater bike in the past Dhanteras. To be honest, the bike is majestic. You can literally feel the torque and power. At a kerb weight of 240 kilograms, it gives you the smoothest possible ride. Whether on highways or on city roads, you would never feel strained or have discomfort of any sort.

My Shotgun 650 Ownership Review (600+ km)
I bought my Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 about a month ago and have clocked over 600 kilometers so far. The bike has already had its first free service, and the overall experience has been fantastic.
The looks are absolutely stunning —this bike turns heads everywhere I go. Mine is currently all stock, with only a sump guard and engine guard added as accessories.
Before making the purchase, I must’ve read every article, review, and blog post I could find. I kept postponing the decision — until the government announced the GST hike from 28% to 40%, which finally got me moving! The buying process at my local RE showroom was smooth and hassle-free, with timely delivery and a proper PDI.
The first thing I did after delivery was visit a temple for blessings, followed by several short rides — 50 km runs on highways and a few winding roads around my village. My daughter and I even made a few late-night ice cream runs on it — the kind of simple joys that make ownership special.
As for the ride itself, I honestly don’t have any serious negatives to mention. You quickly get used to the weight, and once it’s moving, it feels surprisingly balanced. I’ve also fine-tuned the rear suspension preload, which made a noticeable difference — my wife’s no longer complaining about the comfort.
Next on my list is adding a right-side pannier to make the bike a bit more practical for everyday use.
Final advice: Always wear proper riding gear and ride safely. The Shotgun 650 deserves to be enjoyed responsibly!

      Ajuni Bhogal

the buying experience is quite smooth as all Royal Enfield staff are helpful. riding experience is like any other cruiser, I liked it because it looked like a mix of Hunter 350 and Super Meteor it's a royal Enfield the service is easy to maintain.
the bike has a lack of road presence which you realize after owning it or riding it around
      the rides are quite comfortable
the modifications look a little off with this bike.

    • Shotgun 650 Locked,Loaded and ready to ride!!

      Sahil

The Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 offers a premium buying experience with customization options, but its on-road price is on the higher side. It stands out with a muscular bobber-inspired design, wide handlebars, and an upright yet slightly leaned-forward posture that feels comfortable for solo rides but less so for pillions or long tours due to the firm seat. Powered by a smooth 648cc twin engine, it delivers excellent highway performance with minimal vibrations, stable handling, and strong braking, though its 240 kg weight can be tricky in traffic. Service is affordable and spares are widely available, but regular chain maintenance is a must. Pros include refined power, striking looks, and customization potential, while cons are heavy weight, limited touring comfort, and impractical pillion use. For the best experience, new riders should practice slow-speed balance, consider a custom seat for comfort, and invest in crash guards for added safety.

      Mohit Panwar

I own a shotgun 650, it's approximately 1.5 years and I am very impressed with its performance, handling, comfort and looks so good.
And the bike engine sound is so good and loud that it feels so good after hearing the sound
The only disappointing thing is that the headlights are so powerful
And service centres also give you respect and take care of your bike, they care about our bike, they check every screw that is fitted perfectly or not

It delivers great power and pickup - acceleration is instant and fun. It looks stunning and turns heads, too.
Despite the weight, it feels well-balanced while riding. But it is heavy, make no mistake.
Suspension isn’t great, especially for pillion comfort. Still, a solid bike if performance and looks matter to you. Go for it if you're looking for a roadster that handles and rides amazingly well.

      Ravi Kumar

This bike has a very different design and looks very beautiful with retro design and modern technology. The engine of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is very powerful and reliable and is a great bike for city riding. The engine provides excellent power delivery and the riding posture is very comfortable for safety it gets dual channel ABS but comes in a single seat which is not very practical and the fit and finishing are less as compared to its rivals. It provides lots of customization options and is a great-looking bike.

The Shotgun 650 deserves to be enjoyed responsibly!

the buying experience is quite smooth as all Royal Enfield staff are helpful. riding experience is like any other cruiser, I liked it because it looked like a mix of Hunter 350 and Super Meteor it's a royal Enfield the service is easy to maintain.
the bike has a lack of road presence which you realize after owning it or riding it around
      the rides are quite comfortable
the modifications look a little off with this bike.

I own a shotgun 650, it's approximately 1.5 years and I am very impressed with its performance, handling, comfort and looks so good.
And the bike engine sound is so good and loud that it feels so good after hearing the sound
The only disappointing thing is that the headlights are so powerful

This bike has a very different design and looks very beautiful with retro design and modern technology. The engine of the Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 is very powerful and reliable and is a great bike for city riding. The engine provides excellent power delivery and the riding posture is very comfortable for safety it gets dual channel ABS but comes in a single seat which is not very practical and the fit and finishing are less as compared to its rivals. It provides lots of customization options and is a great-looking bike.
