  • Worst battery quality

    Ashok N

After maintaining regular service and daily using also battery stopped working. Worst experience ever battery will not work for even 1 year. I have given for replace but after 1 week also no response atleast they'll not provide temporary battery. We can't even start by towing also i don't know how royal enfield will release without kick start if they don't have quality batteries.

Overall at this competitive price range of 2 to 2.15 lakh, RE has definitely done a great job in terms of producing a vibration free super responsive engine and true Cruiser feeling while one rides it. Awesome riding posture and feel. Meteor will prove to be a game changer for 350 CC Cruiser market.

The buying experience is normal. They didn't even celebrate it but okay no complaint. Test ride and I liked the comfort, took it. Then got to know the actual facts which I didn't like. Looks normal, there's a cheaper bike like the Roadster that looks more premium than this. Lots of panel gaps, exposed wearing, and low paint quality. It really looks like handmade not machine-made made except the engine. Also looks like an elephant and performs like a bear. Any 150cc bike can surpass it in a drag race. Then they told me it's for those who enjoy riding not hunk. I can buy an Activa and enjoy riding while saving fuel. The real hero is service center guys, they want everything open doesn't matter if it's 1st or second service. They made all packages and there are no details on the bill about what that package contains. I have sent an email to Royal Enfield asking why I have been charged 2000 for 1st service when it was mentioned free. What's that tape adjustment scam and why did I need it in 1st service when me and my Tapet both were silent? Still waiting for a reply and I know they don't have any answer for this scam. I have decided to do my own service and will not visit the service center. I don't care about their warranty. Except for breaks and gear, I didn't like anything about this bike. The fuel meter shows reserve when there's a full tank. There's no rpm meter or digital speedometer. My watch has a bigger screen area than this digital meter console. A headlight is weaker than a mobile torch.

  • Meteor 350 Fireball Yellow ownership experience

    Arpit Nagar

I have bought fireball yellow variant. I received the bike in 20 days of booking and the buying experience was good. I always liked the appeal of RE but hated the riding experience because of the vibrations. When meteor was launched, I took the test drive and found the vibrations were gone, acceleration was quick and ride was comfortable. After purchasing the riding experience is satisfactory with the only con of having a stiffer suspension. The road presence of bike is great but people think its a thunderbird with yellow fuel tank. I mostly ride in city and I am getting fuel efficiency of around 30 km/l. After 500 km I took it for 1st servicing and they charged around 1200 Rs. Servicing experience was Okay. In my two months of usage here are the pros and cons:
    Pros:
    1. No vibrations.
    2. Great ride quality and amazing pick up.
    3. Road presence. The bike has retro yet sporty looks. I think the standard fireball variant looks better than stellar and supernova. But that's just my opinion.
    4. Family friendly unlike today's sports bikes with pillion seat situated 1ft above riders seat.
    Cons:
    1. Noise from the fuel pump is loud and can be heard at low speeds. I checked on other meteors and they have this too. The servicing guy told that this is normal. But once you hear/notice it, it will always distract you.
    2. Although the bike has fuel gauge but it takes time to show the correct (or approximate) reading and sometimes it fails to do so which makes it unreliable.
    3. As mentioned before it has stiff suspension. you will feel every small bump on the road and pot holes should be avoided at all cost.
    4. It is a 350 cc bike but the comfortable cruise speed on which you can ride with confidence is 90kmph. It could have been more.

I had bought meteor 350 from kandivali mumbai.. That experience was ok. But bike is really awesome. About looks it's very good specially fireball yellow the bright color looks very attractive. I have added all the accessories from re only using make it yours feature. Comfort, pickup, feel all are at different level. It's far better than classic 350 in all aspects.Pros: great performance, looks very good, breaking is good, wider tires, alloy wheels, gps navigation, analog-digital console, great handling and stability. Cons: halogen headlight (due to always on feature headlight glass heats quickly and will consume more battery), kick is missing , exhaust sound needs more base.
