Re should start producing vehicles that do not have major flaws. Meteor 350 is the bike I got a year ago and I regret purchasing this crap, it’s hardly 14 months old , the engine is emitting heat like hell, and one could hardly place the foot over the footrest while driving in traffic, this vehicle couldn’t withstand the commute of 12 to 15 km distance and start pumping out the heat, you would feel like the foot is beside a stove next one is their sensors, the gear numbers don’t display correctly and now the entire display vanished, indicators don’t ignite. Seems this vehicle is not fit for the roads, maybe the junkyard would be the right place for it.

  • Good with a few flaws

    Pavan

I wanted to replace my thunderbird with my newly booked Meteor 350. Booking was done online, after watching numerous videos about the bike. The tentative date for delivery was 17/06/2021. Expected an early delivery like within 2 to 3 months, but the pandemic and lockdown ensured that the delivery got delayed by more than 2 months. Finally got the delivery on 02/09/2021. In the mean time the price had gone up by 20000 Rs for my configuration. The delivery after arrival of the bike to the showroom took 1 week for completion of all formalities. It was a pleasant experience at the showroom. But the waiting and price hikes did not make the buying experience good.
Royal Enfield has come a long way in improving the fit and finish of their bikes. The tank is beautifully designed and looks nice from both the sides and from the top. The wide rear fender and the 140 section tire added to the bulky look of the bike. The multi reflector headlight with the DRL ring added a modern touch. I personally did not like the rear tail light and indicator complex. Looks a little awkward to me. The meter console comes with all necessary info but I missed the tachometer
The bike is very comfortable to ride, no complaints about that. I'm 5.7 and an average built guy and I find the ergonomics and seating posture perfect. The exhaust note is pleasant and not loud. The bike lacks the normal vibrations. Although it is 191 kg, it is very well managed with low center of gravity and we hardly feel it. It is quiet nimble and riding in city traffic is a breeze. The braking is good and the bike stops as planned with no surprises.
The first service cost me 1060 rs and was prompt. No complaints about that.
Pros would be that it a really comfortable bike with adequate power for daily commute and touring.
On the other hand the refinement of engine is still not as expected and there are some odd knocking noises from it that some times concern me.
The waiting period is painfully long.
And finally the tripper app needs to be improved. There is no provision for pre determined starting point and destinations like on google maps. Also no multiple route options as on google maps.
They could have provided led indicators.

  • Nice cruiser but need changes

    Shyam

I had a big confusion which bike should i buy either cb350 or meteor350 . Finally i went for meteor 350.
    Pros:
    Very comfortable seats
    Refined engine
    No vibration until reaching 100
Instrument cluster is good and easy to understand
    no heat issues
    good feel in city rides
    value for money
    Cons:
    noticeable plastic parts
same thump as it had in bs6 classic slightly different
i feel some parts are made by cheap materials (odometer glass, tank lid, front mud guard)
RE logo was not so attractive in fireball variant , steel logo of thunderbird will be awesome
No kicker (as a classic user i am really missing the kicker)
i am expecting same advantages in the upcoming
classic and Himalayan bikes like tripper navigation, no heat issues, rusting issues, vibration, mileage.

Test riding experience was very good and feels planted with 191 kg appx even with a pillion and also there are almost no vibrations but it did not installed the confidence that I need to go for it. Foot pegs are forward set as it is a cruiser but not extremely forward like other cruisers in the market. And, lastly the bike's style and seating position are not for everyone. P.s price is a little on the higher side.

  • My METEOR...if u didn't ride u don't know what u r missing in ur life

    Maku Taku

I had to wait 121 days to own the meteor. It was boring. Buying experience was good except they still didn't give me the back rest which come with stellar red as it wasn't available at dealers at the time of delivery and still didn't inform me when it will be available.
I love the riding experience, feel the weight at tight corners for making turn but once you start riding it feels so light and very easy to maneuver in traffic.
I love the meteor looks simple and classic with modern looks. It doesn't look like RE bike and has lots of features which requires in modern bike. Gps navigation. Trip A and Trip B. Fuel gauge. I love meteor odometer.
    Pros
    1) One of most refined bike from RE
    2) Full of features.
    3) Safety features. dual channel ABS. Alloy wheels. love its brakes.
    4) In town it gives mileage between 29 to 33 km/l depending on riding condition
    5) On highways it gives me mileage of 37 to 39 km/l.
    CONS
    1) miss the DUG DUG sounds of classic 350
    2) Difficult to move to and fro at tight place at it idle condition.
    3) Not Comfortable on bad road due to rear suspension which is too hard

    Nayan Sharma

Meteor 350 was very good for long rides and best heavy feel in slope areas, but in marketplaces, handling is not so good but overall performance was best. The average of this bike is better than our thinking, and the most comfortable thing was the seat experience. If stuck on bad roads it gives relief from changing gears downwards because 3rd gear can also give a good pick up.

Meteor 350 was very good for long rides and best heavy feel in slope areas, but in marketplaces, handling is not so good but overall performance was best. The average of this bike is better than our thinking, and the most comfortable thing was the seat experience. If stuck on bad roads it gives relief from changing gears downwards because 3rd gear can also give a good pick up.
