Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is expected to launch in India in November 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 2,60,000 to ₹ 2,70,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Himalayan 452 are KTM 390 Adventure X, KTM 250 Adventure & Royal Enfield Himalayan.
The Himalayan 450 is the adventure bike the world has been waiting for. This Royal Enfield is touted to have a combination of rugged styling, great and accessible performance and usable features.
The Himalayan 450 has been planned by Royal Enfield as an upgrade for riders who want more performance from their adventure motorcycles. This ADV is being built on a new platform that will see a 450cc liquid-cooled engine. This engine on the Himalayan will make around 40bhp but will have a stronger low and mid-range torque.
The Himalayan 450 gets a brand new design language and in a way it does. But if you look closely, you will see some inspiration from the Himalayan 411. For example, the frame connecting the fuel tank to the headlamp unit gives out the original Himalayan feel. The circular headlamp too resembles the Himalayan. And now, if you look at the spoke wheels, it is identical to the ones we see on the oil-cooled Himalayan. In fact, the Himalayan 450 too gets a 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels setup. So we can expect RE to use the exact same wheels on this new bike. Moreover, Royal Enfield also has a spoke wheel with tubeless tyre setup ready.
The 450cc platform will be positioned between the 410cc oil-cooled and 650cc parallel-twin motors. So the Himalayan 450 could start with a price tag of around Rs 2.7 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) which gets it very close to the Interceptor 650. The Himalayan 450 will be launched in India in early 2023.
