This title is surely going to excite a lot of adventure enthusiasts in India. A 400cc v-twin adventure motorcycle makes sense for a market like India and this could be made possible by UM.
We know that the company was working on a 350cc V-Twin motor but now it looks like, the displacement will be bumped up by 50cc to develop more torque. The confirmation of the development of this adventure motorcycle has come from Rajeev Mishra, director, UM India during an interview with IAB.
The company is expected to position this bike as a true adventure bike and will come with all the bells and whistles. The expected launch date will be around November 2017 but if there is any delay in the development, UM India could push the launch to 2018 Auto Expo.
While we are quite excited about this development, we are not sure if the timelines will be adhered to. UM India does have big plans for the Indian market, however, it keeps postponing the launches. The company hasn’t launched the Renegade Classic yet, which was unveiled a year ago and the deliveries of the Renegade S and the Commando began little late too.
