- Domestic sales witnessed negative growth
- Exports grew by three per cent
- Company expects improved sales in coming months
TVS Motor Company has reported its sales data for the month of October 2021. The Hosur-based manufacturer sold 3,55,033 units in October 2021 as against 3,94,724 units in October last year.
The total two-wheelers sales stood at 3,41,513 units in October 2021 as against sales of 3,82,121 units in the corresponding month last year. The domestic two-wheeler business registered 2,58,777-unit sales in October 2021 as against sales of 301,380 units in October 2020.
The motorcycle sales stood at 1,72,361 units in October 2021 as against sales of 1,73,263 units in October 2020. The scooter sales for October 2021 stood at 1,13,124 units in October 2021 as against sales of 1,27,138 units in October last year. The total exports registered a growth of three per cent with sales of 95,191 units in October 2021 as against 92,520 units in October 2020.
The company said in the press statement that easing pandemic restrictions and festive season should improve sales significantly in the coming months.
