Royal Enfield records 24 per cent drop in sales for November

- Royal Enfield sold 44,830 units last month

- Exports grows by 45 per cent

- To launch a slew of motorcycles soon

Royal Enfield records a 24 per cent drop in domestic sales for November 2021. The Chennai-based manufacturer sold 44,830 motorcycles last month as compared to the 59,084 units sold in November 2020.

However, month-on-month sales increased by 10.3 per cent as Royal Enfield sold 40,611 units in October. As for exports, the manufacturer witnessed a massive 45.2 per cent increase in sales. It shipped 6,824 motorcycles overseas in November 2021 as against the 4,698 units in the same month last year.

Nonetheless, the drop in domestic sales could be due to the global semiconductor shortage, which has not only affected Royal Enfield but also every auto manufacturer in the country. In other news, the brand recently showcased the SG650 concept that would be the base for the upcoming bobber-style motorcycle. Moreover, it also unveiled the limited-edition Interceptor 650 and Conti GT 650 at the EICMA which will make their way to India soon.
