Mahindra confirms made-in-India electric two-wheeler

- Mahindra electric two-wheeler under development

- Will be made in India

- GenZe e-scooter is too expensive for India

Mahindra has finally confirmed its electric two-wheeler plan for India. This news was revealed during the company’s annual general body meeting.

The company said that they have some plans for the electric two-wheeler for the Indian market. In fact, this product will be completely made in India. Mahindra has an electric two-wheeler by the name GenZe 2.0 but this has been developed for matured markets like US. This scooter hasn’t made its India debut due to its high price.

“We are watching this space. We have some plans up our sleeve. We will have a locally manufactured two-wheeler.” said Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra & Mahindra.

Like the other two-wheeler manufacturers, Mahindra is also focus a lot on bringing greener two-wheelers to India. The constant push by the government for EVs has made a lot of companies rethink its future strategies.
