Suzuki has finally made its foray in to the lucrative middleweight segment with the new GSX-S750. A locally assembled motorcycle like the Hayabusa, the GSX-S750 is priced at Rs 7.45 lakhs (ex-showroom). We recently rode the GSX-S750 at the Buddh International Circuit in Delhi. The GSX-S750 bears all the traditional streetfighter styling cues like the raked headlamp, muscular fuel tank and the raised and minimalistic tail section.
Despite the bulky mid-section, the GSX-S750 exudes a sense of sportiness thanks to the sharp lines and creases all around the bodywork.
Although it is a streetfighter, the footpegs on the GSX-S750 are rear set which offers a great cornering clearance.
The instrument cluster is a fully-digital unit which apart from the usual functions also displays a clock, trip computer and traction level settings.
At the heart of the GSX-S750 is a 749cc inline four engine, delivering 113bhp and 81Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.
The traction control can be adjusted for three levels. A control on the left switchgear allows you to adjust these levels.
The GSX-S750 rides on inverted front forks sourced from KYB and a rear monoshock. Both can be adjusted for preload.
The brakes setup consists of twin discs up front and a single disc at the rear with Nissin callipers. ABS is offered as standard.
