Before you go out raging that this scooter is more powerful than Yamaha's own Fz-s, you need to understand what's the purpose of this scooter. So, let us dive into the real world application of this scooter.
    1) First and foremost who should buy this scooter?
Two types of people will buy this scooter, First category comprises of people who want a spacious scooter and a safe scooter. what do you mean by safe you may ask. well the answer is most scooters are very notorious for skidding because of those small wheels and big body, this one will never have those issues, thanks to the 140 section rear tyre. Because of that the luggage carrying capacity also increases. Second category belongs to those people who are young or just starting out with bikes but also they don't want those lame low powered scooty.
    2) The price: Yes i know this scooter is priced more than some 150cc bikes but if you really think, this is no less than a full fledged bike. I mean this Moto scooter has 15 bhp power and chunky tyres and a stunning design all of which deserves that 1.5 lakhs price tag.
    3) If you are a stunt rider or an aspiring stunt rider you can pull off some decent stunts with little modification.
Basically the purpose of this review is to enlighten you where you can use this scooter. I will not go in the specifications because its already there but i am going to make a pro's and con's list.
    Pro's:
. Sporty design will attract youth
. more than enough power for a scooter
    . perfect set of tyres
    . good braking system
    Con's:
. mileage will be an issue
. price is on the higher side.

Price is also good for an indian market as compared to it rival like Piaggio.
The people who prefer non gear bikes, its really at great option for their daily commute.
Hope this bike might have ABS, which may be great performing bike in its segment.

This will make a change in scooty market in India for sure and the premium finish is lovely.

Best in the segment. I've not owned this machine, but seeing the bhp of this scooty I think this is a mini beast. It can give a big competition to Ntorq and other scooty too. I will definitely buy this....

Its the first time I saw this scooter available in India. Last time I saw in Singapore, way back in 2010. I think there should be some change in the Indian commuter design. In the coming years, I think Yamaha could launch a 125 cc variant too, because this is much expensive for average buyers. But, I will definitely buy this vehicle after 2-3 months.

I would like to appreciate yamaha taken first initiative to launch real maxi scooter
At time indian are almost bored with traditional scooter like Honda activa and others,
Am seen many Asian countries got maxi scooters almost 5-6 years back,
For sure this scooter will rock with all segments both genders
I feel very few color options given by yamaha but am trust in “some thing better than nothing”
All the very best all dealers with new segment business.

The real maxi powerful machine in India is better than most of the bike in term of space, comfort, easy ride on highway and in city, no worries to shift gears.

I wish it was atleast 200cc. Paying 1.5 lakh for only 155cc is too much. Had on road price been around 1.1 lakh that would have been ok. I think they tried to benchmark against Aprilia price which it self is so high. Otherwise the scooter looks nice. I have to buy it bu...

I think they tried to benchmark against Aprilia price which it self is so high.
Otherwise the scooter looks nice. I have to buy it but will wait for 5-6 months for price fall or launch of new maxi style scooters. Perhaps Honda will introduce a 200cc plus scooter in 1.5 lakh range.
What I feel is a downer for me is the pillion seat. It looks too high and uncomfortable for my spouse. There seem to be no cushioning also
