  • Bought a bull rode to town!

Bought this towards january end in 2020. Showrooms were running out of stock when i heard from one that bs-iv was still available with them. Was not interested in bs-vi because the price differential seemed unjustified at that time and still does. Wanted to buy re for a few reasons - i) father's dream to own an re since childhood ii) retro styling and riding comfort was like none other iii) road safety due to the weight being on the heavier side(yes it is quite heavy for a first rider to manage a ~200 kg bike). Went to the showroom to get a bullet electra but found out that they still had a bs-iv classic left. Considering the fat back tire and better seats, it was a no-brainer that classic was to be the obvious choice.Read a lot of reviews before buying, found both positive and negatives, occasionally dropped the idea of buying this bike(based on reviews) as getting this monster was not a necessity but a luxury. It was not a practical purchase as our commutes are usually taken care of through cars. Yes, the cons still hold but they weren't very relevant. The cons that i read were - i) low acceleration and speed as compared to its price range - this did not bother me as my rides would not involve high speed so was okay with it. Ii) high maintenance cost - that too was not of concern as it was an impulsive purchase and not a practical one. Iii) low mileage - was reported a mileage of about 38 kmpl which was fine for me iv) occasional reviews of poor parts quality and irresponsible servicing - this was concerning for me as i could not compromise on quality v) low ground clearance - this was somewhat concerning as ride experience was at stake here but that did not bother me till date vi) vibrations - that was of concern initially but after the first test drive, it seemed quite enjoyable rather than bothersome. Vii) inefficient braking - that is still a minor concern but considering the speed at which i ride(30-50 kmph), it is quite manageable. Moreover, it is not something that would cause me much danger. Viii) false neutrals - did not happen to me yet. Ix) no gear indicator, fuel indicator - was a little concern for me but after the purchase, it seemed like a very minor problem, not something worth scratching my head for.Anyway, after much deliberation and feedback from known owners within my social circle, it seemed like the pros outweighed the cons to me. Therefore, the purchase was made without much ado. I made detailed inquiries at the showroom to know the smallest details and that helped me know about the pitfalls better than others(had to go the showroom recently and saw one indignant purchaser shouting as he did not know what kind of insurance he was purchasing and now wanting to put the blame on the showroom).Riding experience was like none other. Grabbing eyeballs on the street and the comfort is beyond my expectations. Had to take some time to adjust to the kick start so used the electric start initially but after 3-4 months, i am now confident that i can kick start the bike. Yes, the weight was a big problem initially as it was our first bike and it can take some time to get used to it but after getting the hang of it, riding on a lightweight bike seems like a huge challenge(not to mention i feel extremely unsafe riding one).Got the first servicing done recently(yes a little too late because of the lockdown) and it was a pleasant experience. Cost me about 1000 rupees and that included washing, changing engine oil, cleaning the air filter, cleaning and lubing the chain(though i did this several times by myself) and maybe something else i can't recollect. Wait time was about 1.5 hrs. Yes, it takes some maintenance to keep the looks and riding experience enjoyable and more importantly because of the metal body(need to prevent rusting). Broadly speaking, the simplicity of the machinery and the overall ride experience takes home the prize. Very happy and satisfied with the purchase till now. Little to no complaints since purchase.

Then i washed my bike engine yesterday. But today again i observed the leakage. Today i contacted the service station, For a simple problem should i visit 4 times to your service station? and is it fare to deal with your customer? I am a govt service person and have no much time to visit your service station.

    Deva

I've been using this bike for about 1.5 years, and within one year I've changed the battery, chain sprocket, break shoes(couple of times), once I had petrol leakage and they changed some part . Maintenance is extremely difficult and costly. I use it for about 50 plus kms daily. And service centers doesn't deal it like a premium bike. I had been completely disappointed after buying this machine. apart from look nothing will satisfy you.

I have purchased royal enfield classic-350 efi- gun metal grey bs6 engine bike on 19/01/2020 from north delhi motorcycles-520. I am so happy that finally i have purchased my dream bike which have planned last 2 years. But unfortunately, i have faced so many problems in few days:-Clutch plate damage after running only 129 km. silencer color change to abnormal- change to dark red and brown color. lose wiring issues, horn was not working while driving.Pickup issue-due to clutch problem in bike. gear problem- while changing gear it stuck most of the times. while running 1-2 km, silencer over heated as compare to other same modal bike. So it is sign of over heating of engine. Which may occur major problem in bike. Engine overheating & thus engine seizure symptoms are there.I completely shock that all above problems come in my new bike which run only 129 km. Being royal enfield a big brand, company always promised to satisfy the customers in sense of durability and comfort. Swadhin Chatterjee

  • Complaint against b6 new engine

    Amrendra Kumar

Whereas i am not satisfied and my trust breaked on royal enfield in their quality and goodwill. I also want to raise a question on quality report of my bike. so i suggest to all buy another brand new bike.

  • Complaint against b6 new engine

    Amrendra Kumar

Whereas i am not satisfied and my trust breaked on royal enfield in their quality and goodwill. I also want to raise a question on quality report of my bike. so i suggest to all buy another brand new bike.

RE bikes are great for the riders experience while buying otherwise its shit the same engine on every bike classic Thunderbird Electra just difference of price , so much of vibration after 60kmph sweet spot is 60 not beyond that very expensive service cost no Value for money proposition , no fuel gauge waste bike.
