Triumph Rocket 3 TFC final details revealed; sold out in North America

-Triumph Rocket 3 TFC sold out in North America

-Is the most powerful Triumph yet

-Weighs 44kg lesser than its predecessor

Triumph unveiled the Rocket 3 TFC for global markets in January 2019. Now, almost six months later, the British manufacturer has confirmed the final details and specifications of the motorcycle.

The Rocket 3 TFC is powered by a mammoth of a 2500cc, inline three-cylinder engine. And Triumph has now confirmed that the engine produces 179.5bhp at 7,000rpm and peak torque of 225Nm at as low as 4,000rpm. Furthermore, Triumph has revealed that the Rocket 3 TFC also weighs 289kg; a whole 44.4kg lesser than the previous model.

The TFC in the motorcycle’s name stands for ‘Triumph Factory Custom’ which is the manufacturer’s division that builds special, limited-edition motorcycles. Production for the Triumph Rocket 3 is limited to just 750 units worldwide and has already been sold out in USA and Canada. To justify its limited edition tag, the Rocket 3 TFC gets sports a carbon-fibre front fender, exhaust shield and windscreen.

In terms of design, the new Rocket is a stark contrast to the previous generation Rocket 3. It follows a power-cruiser design language so it gets straight handlebars, a long tank and slightly forward-set foot pegs. The bike also gets a stubby rear section with twin-slash cut Arrow exhaust that exposes the new single-sided swingarm.

Triumph has equipped the motorcycle with a host of electronics like full-colour TFT dash that is Bluetooth-enabled. It also comes with four ride modes- road, rain, sport and a customisable rider mode, a traction control system, cornering ABS, two-way quick shifter, cruise control, hill-hold assist and even the GoPro control feature. For suspension, it gets a Showa setup on both ends while Brembo Stylema callipers take care of braking duties.

While the Triumph Rocket 3 TFC is already available in European markets, the manufacturer hasn’t confirmed if the bike will make it to India. However, if it does arrive, expect it to demand a hefty price tag and be available in very limited numbers.
