Hero Motors sales up by three per cent in October

Hero Motor Corporation sold 5,29,215 units last month as compared to 5,12,238 units in the corresponding period last year recording a 3.31 per cent increase in sales.  However the Gurgaon based manufacturer has also reported a 27 per cent decline in net profit for Q2 of 2012.

Commenting on the October sales, senior vice president (marketing and sales) Anil Dua said "The entire range of our new Hero-branded models, including the new launches - Maestro and Ignitor - has been well received and this is reflected in our numbers.” We can expect Hero’s sales to increase even further next month. Reports suggest Hero has already sold over 3.5 lakh two-wheelers in the first 15 days of the festival season.
