Bajaj could invest in bicycle and e-bike sharing startup Yulu

- Bajaj could invest in Yulu

- Could help build its mobility solutions

- Deal could be announced in the next few months

Bajaj Auto is looking to strengthen its mobility solutions. The company might invest in a Bengaluru based company, Yulu that offers bicycles and e-bikes on hire.

According to a report, the Pune-based manufacturer is doing a due diligence on the company and the final deal could be closed in the coming weeks. The deal could also see Bajaj making some specific two-wheelers for the Bengaluru-based company.

According to our sources, along with electric mobility, Bajaj has been working on providing transportation solutions which will be deployed in the future. If this development does get through, there’s a high chance that the company will deploy Urbanite electric scooter through Yulu’s app and eco-system. In fact, by going this route, Bajaj will be able to get a lot of usage insights before selling it to the Indian buyers directly.
