Bangalore-based electric two-wheeler maker, Ather Energy has reported its sales data for December 2022. The company sold 9,187 electric scooters in December 2022, registering a year-on-year growth of 389 per cent.
The company announced the Ather Electric December scheme, providing a plethora of incentives to the customers. Further, the brand has also expanded its retail presence with the inauguration of 14 experience centres in Nellore, Karimnagar, Udupi, Noida, Kottayam, and Shimoga.
Speaking about the sales performance, Ravneet Singh Phokela, Chief Business Officer, Ather Energy, said that the company exits the year with strong sales momentum, and despite an industry dip of almost 40 per cent in two-wheeler sales, its December numbers grew by 26 per cent over November. The brand continued expanding its retail footprint, adding 14 new outlets and they are now present in 70 cities with 89 experience centres.
In more updates, Ather Energy is set to host its Ather Community Day on 7 January, 2023. While the company has not revealed many details, our sources close to the developments have confirmed that the company is likely to introduce a new colour option for the 450X scooter.
