Apollo to launch two-wheeler tyres on March 7

Apollo is going to launch its new range of tyres for two-wheelers on March 7. This is the first time the Gurgaon-based tyre manufacturer is venturing into the two-wheeler market space.

While Apollo is already a big name when it comes to four-wheelers and commercial vehicles, the company is now widening its scope to include two-wheelers as well. India is one of biggest two-wheelers markets in the world, and Apollo foray into this market space should definitely help it increase its business. As of now, Apollo supplies tyres to several OEMs like Volkswagen, Chevrolet, Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki among others. We can expect this list to lengthen with the addition of a few two-wheeler manufacturers.

A few years ago, Apollo had acquired Dutch tyre maker Vredestein Banden giving it access into the lucrative European tyre market. Currently, the group owns three other key brands - Kaizen, Maloya and Regal. In the Indian market, Apollo would be launching tyres for both scooters and motorcycles. More details about these tyres are expected to be revealed as we get closer to the launch date.
