About Activa Electric

Honda Activa Electric is expected to launch in India in December 2023 in the expected price range of ₹ 1,00,000 to ₹ 1,20,000. Currently available bikes which are similar to Activa Electric are BGauss C12, Okaya Faast F3 & iVOOMi Jeet X. Another bike similar to Activa Electric is Lambretta V200 which is launching in June 2023 in India.

Honda is working on an electric version of its highest-selling scooter - the Honda Activa. Although not much is known about the Honda Activa Electric, the EV is expected to be launched in India by late 2024 or early 2025.

Regarding its styling, the Honda Activa Electric is likely to feature a design language similar to its ICE version. Thus, we can expect it to get an LED headlamp, a wide front apron, and a flat seat. In terms of features, the Activa Electric could come equipped with a fully digital instrument cluster, and higher variants could get a touchscreen display, complete with connected tech and navigation.

We don’t know much about its battery pack or motor output, but we can expect the power figures to be on par with the segment standards. In terms of range, the Honda Activa Electric is likely to offer 100-150km on a single charge.

Coming to its cycle parts, the electric scooter is expected to ride on 12-inch alloy wheels, wrapped in tubeless tyres. The suspension setup will include telescopic forks upfront and a preload-adjustable mono-shock at the back. The braking department will be handled by a disc brake at the front and a rear drum brake, while the safety net will include a combined braking system as standard.

The Activa Electric will rival the likes of the Ola Electric S1, TVS iQube, Ather 450X, and the Bajaj Chetak Electric. As for its pricing, the Honda Activa Electric is expected to cost between Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
