Bajaj Dominar 400 vs Hyosung Aquila GV250

We did test out the new Dominar, although only for a bit, riding it around the twisties of Lonavala. Although, after hearing the experiences of the Odyssey riders, I wanted to ride the 2022 Dominar 400 more. So I headed for the vacation destination of India- Goa! 

Bajaj has added a new version to the mix in the form of the 2022 Dominar 400 Touring that aims to complete the whole purpose of the motorcycle. We recently got to ride the motorcycle for a short duration and here is what we came back with…

I know, it’s a bit odd. A power cruiser on a race track. The raked out front end, the upright seating, the low set footpegs, and the long wheelbase aren’t really virtues when it comes to going flat out corner after corner.

Touring is becoming a fashion among Indian motoring enthusiasts. And why should it not? We have vast expanse of open lands, biodiversity worth experiencing and some really good roads that are connected by many miserable ones with the difficulty level equivalent of playing Ping Pong with a Chinese national, giving riders a sense of achievement like no other.  Royal Enfield and Harley-Davidson have been capitalising on this pretty well for a while now and it is time that few others get to ride the wave, even if that won’t dent the sales of the big two. Hyosung is the front runner among the alternative premium motorcycle brands for cruisers and this time we test their new entry-level model, the Aquila 250.
