Gurugram-based Benling India, an emerging electric vehicle brand has been awarded the ‘Start-Up of the Year’ award during the India E-mobility Week Awards 2019 held in New Delhi. The event was organized by First View Media Venture.
According to the release, the company has been working towards the research, development and innovation of technologies in the electric vehicle segment to improve the EV infrastructure in the country. Furthermore, with quality being one of the main focal points in the company’s long term objectives, Benling plans to produce high-performance electric vehicles that are highly efficient, lightweight, durable and eco-friendly. The brand also looks forward to achieving a sustainable automotive ecosystem that’ll bring mobility solutions to customers across the world.
On the expansion front, with the coming financial year, Benling India's plans are afoot to invest in the Indian market with manufacturing facilities in Chennai, Pune, Kolkata and Guwahati. Benling’s current product portfolio consists of three low-speed models namely Kriti, Falcon and Icon. In the future, the brand also has plans to launch one high-speed model named Aura which is scheduled to be introduced in January 2020.
